WWE Raw Highlights 52162o

Gunther Promo 5e431y

Reigning World Heavyweight Champion Gunther cuts short an interview with Michael Cole and unleashes a scathing promo on Jey Uso.

Gunther promises to put Jey down for the fourth consecutive time when the bell rings at WrestleMania and tells him to pray to the lord and thank him that he didn’t drown them both in Jimmy’s blood.

To finish, he says that he will ‘beat the living hell’ out of Jey at ‘Mania and walk out still the World Heavyweight Champion.

Liv Morgan vs Bayley 2x2c6q

Two former women’s champions put on a solid opener to Raw, giving the fans a taste of what to expect in the tag team match at WrestleMania.

Raquel Rodriguez tried her best to assist the win for her partner, but it was Lyra Valkyria’s involvement that ultimately helped Bayley steal a victory.

Winner: Bayley

Rey Mysterio vs Julius Creed 3n2ek

No sign of El Grande Americano this week, but Chad Gable comes down to the ring to accompany Julius Creed for his match.

The rest of American Made are there too, as are LWO, but it’s not long before the referee is forced to eject everyone from ringside, leaving Rey and Julius one-on-one.

However, El Grande Americano runs down shortly after to interfere, but Rey fights him off and hits Julius with the 619, picking up the victory.

Winner: Rey Mysterio

After the match, a brawl ensues between American Made and LWO, and it’s Americano who’s left standing tall when he hits a diving headbutt with his steel-enforced mask.

AJ Styles vs Karrion Kross 5b2f4o

Karrion Kross gets a rare TV match after weeks of tension in backstage segments with AJ Styles.

Kross wears his hair and gear eerily similar to Styles and feigns an injury midway through the match to catch Styles off guard.

Styles eventually fights back and hits a Phenomenal Forearm to secure the win.

Winner: AJ Styles

Immediately after the match, Logan Paul’s music hits, and he comes to the stage to sarcastically congratulate Styles before mocking the crowd.

Paul says his and AJ’s match will ‘cook’ at WrestleMania before proceeding to show a video package on the titantron to show why it will make money.

Styles invites Paul to the ring to start WrestleMania early, but Kross gets back in the ring and tries to blindside Styles, but AJ sees it coming.

Styles fights off Kross, but Paul lands a cheap shot on Styles before hitting his ‘Paulvarizer’ finishing move.

Jey Uso Promo 5h2h3w

Jey Uso comes down to the ring from the crowd, but he doesn’t ‘yeet’ along with the crowd and has a more serious demeanour.

Uso gets to the announce table and greets Pat McAfee and Michael Cole and goes to speak before his music restarts for another short moment.

Jey says he’s locked in for his family and for the fans and claims that Gunther is afraid that he will lose in front of 60,000 fans at WrestleMania.

Jey goes back into the Sacramento crowd and ‘yeets’ with the fans.

Penta vs Finn Balor q292y

Before the match, Bron Breakker is blindsided with a three-on-one assault by the Judgment Day in a backstage interview with Cathy Kelley.

Penta and Balor make their respective entrances, and the match gets off to a fast-paced start. After some solid back-and-forth action, Dominik and Carlito come down to interfere and assist Finn.

However, Bron Breakker soon comes charging down, attacking Finn and causing a disqualification.

Bron hits a double spear on Finn and Dominik before turning his attention to Penta.

However, Penta calculates the spear and kicks Bron in the head and hits an outside dive on the Intercontinental Champion, Carlito, and Dominik.

Penta stands tall in the ring as Finn backs up the ramp.

CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins Segment 693a5r

Roman Reigns arrives just as Paul Heyman is talking with CM Punk. Reigns is unimpressed and struts to the ring, while Heyman follows.

Heyman offers his mic to his Tribal Chief, but Roman ignores it and grabs one himself. He tells Sacramento to acknowledge him as Heyman looks on worriedly.

Reigns asks Heyman why he betrayed him as the crowd chants, “You F’d Up!” at the Wiseman. Heyman insists it was not a betrayal and that he merely paid back a favour that he owed.

Reigns says he doesn’t ask for favours because he takes what he wants, so how is he expected to ‘cover the tab’ for Heyman’s favour.

Seth Rollins’ music hits, and he comes down to the ring, saying he has to end Roman at WrestleMania and that the winner of the triple threat match will define the future of the industry.

Rollins says it can’t be Roman or Punk because the business will die, but if Seth wins, the business will thrive. He then says he chose to not put Heyman in the hospital last week, who now has the choice whether to pay that debt back to Seth.

Rollins calls Heyman a scumbag and says that he is not returning a favour, but he is choosing to be in CM Punk’s corner at WrestleMania.

Reigns says he’s right and that Heyman has made his choice, and Roman has too, before clotheslining Rollins and sending him out the ring.

Heyman acknowledges his Tribal Chief, but Roman pushes Heyman to the ground, leading CM Punk to come running down and brawl with Reigns.

Punk checks on Heyman and turns around to eat a spear from Reigns before Rollins attacks Reigns with a steel chair to the back, reminiscent of the shot that broke The Shield.

Rollins stomps both Punk and Reigns and stands tall with the chair in hand as Heyman looks on in disbelief.

WWE Raw Review 5936b

A fairly inconsequential episode of Monday Night Raw with a promising first half hour or so. Gunther’s promo was a masterclass. Easily his best to date. He cut off Cole because he has zero interest in media formalities and all the interest in putting Jey Uso into the dirt—again. From bloodthirsty imagery to pure disdain, every word dripped with personal venom. Gunther is proving that he isn’t just a wrestler—he’s what WWE has always dreamed its top guys could be: commanding, credible, compelling. You believe every word he says in this promo.

Liv Morgan and Bayley opened the show strong. It was a fun, solid bout that teased what’s to come in the women’s tag title match at WrestleMania. A good match, if not quite must-see, but it bodes well for Sunday.

Rey/Julius felt part evaluation, part showcase. Julius ed the eye test, but Rey reminded us why he’s still the bar even at 50.

Styles/Kross was serviceable, and Jey didn’t really have much to say in his final promo before ‘Mania. Bron continues to be generational.

The triple threat segment tried to position this match as the existential crisis of WWE. The problem? There’s no real, tangible stakes. It’s not for a title. No careers are on the line. There’s no blood feud. Seth is out here cutting monologues about saving the soul of wrestling, but nobody’s quite explained how winning this match does that. It lacks the dramatic finality of last year’s Cody/Roman storyline.

If Heyman actually had real institutional power, his shifting allegiances would matter. But right now, his “value” to Roman or Punk feels more symbolic than substantial.

Rollins standing tall to close the show was fine, but the segment didn’t land like they hoped. It wants to be profound, but it’s narratively weightless. If they just let these guys say, “I hate you, and I don’t want you to win,” it would be infinitely more compelling.

This episode could’ve been 75 minutes long, honestly. Aside from the Gunther promo and the women’s match, an underwhelming go-home show.
