Premier League high-flyers Nottingham Forest head to Molineux to take on Wolves on Monday evening, and we’ve got the latest team news and predicted lineups, as well as a prediction alongside our preview.

Wolves vs Nottingham Forest Preview

In-form Nottingham Forest make the relatively short trip to the West Midlands to take on Wolves in the Premier League on Monday evening, where they’ll be looking to extend their winning run to six straight matches.

Since losing to Manchester City in early December, Forest have beaten Manchester United, Aston Villa, Brentford, Tottenham and, most recently, Everton, as they currently occupy third place in the English top-flight table.

Regardless of the result against Wolves, they will remain in third place come the end of Gameweek 20, however by winning, they will go level on points with second place Arsenal and will move four points clear of fourth place Chelsea.

The hosts, meanwhile, are in 17th place heading into the tie, level on points with 18th place Ipswich. Had the Tractor Boys held on to their lead against Fulham on Sunday, Wolves would currently be in the relegation zone.

Despite this, new manager Manchester United, and last time out, his side came from behind to draw 2-2 with Tottenham in North London.

Recent history between Wolves and Forest only points to one thing, and that’s a stalemate. Each of their last five meetings have ended in draws, with August’s reverse fixture finishing 1-1 at the City Ground. Chris Wood and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde were the goalscorers on that day.

Wolves Team News

In of injuries, Wolves are without all of Yerson Mosquera (knee), Enso Gonzalez (knee), Sasa Kalajdzic (knee), Boubacar Traore (knee), Toti Gomes (thigh), Mario Lemina (calf) and Pablo Sarabia (calf) for Forest’s visit.

Matheus Cunha is another that misses out, with the Brazilian receiving a two-match suspension and an £80,000 fine for his involvement in a post-match melee against Ipswich in mid-December.

Midfielder Andre is also a doubt after returning to his native Brazil for the birth of his child over the weekend.

Nottingham Forest Team News

As for the Reds, they are without Ibrahim Sangare (thigh) and Danilo (ankle), while Murillo (groin) and Callum Hudson-Odoi (knock) are minor doubts and face late fitness tests ahead of the clash.

Returning to the squad, having served his one-match suspension due to an accumulation of yellow cards, is club captain Ryan Yates, who should slot straight back into the midfield alongside either Elliot Anderson or Nicolas Dominguez.

Wolves vs Nottingham Forest Prediction

The UK’s best football betting sites see Nottingham Forest as favourites to prevail in this one, and despite Wolves’ unbeaten start under Pereira, we agree with the bookmakers, as we’re backing the Reds to claim a 2-0 victory.

Forest have been excellent this term, winning 11 and drawing four of their 19 Premier League matches, leaving them in an unlikely third place at the midway point of the campaign, so we struggle to see a scenario where Wolves get the better of them, even with the game being played at Molineux.

We expect the likes of Wood, Anthony Elanga and ex-Wolves star Morgan Gibbs-White to cause the hosts some real concern and are backing the trio to combine in front of goal to inspire the Reds to a sixth successive league victory.

Prediction: Wolves 0-2 Nottingham Forest
