Eagle-eyed Premier League fans will have noticed Leicester City youngster Jeremy Monga’s shirt is missing the club’s sponsor.

Monga made his senior debut as a substitute on April 7 in a 3-0 defeat to Newcastle United and also came off the bench in Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Liverpool.

He became the second-youngest player in Premier League history earlier this month behind Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri, who made his top-flight debut when aged 90 days younger than Monga.

Monga is an England Under 16 international and made his senior debut aged 15 years and 271 days against Newcastle.

Leicester were relegated for the second time in three seasons after losing to Liverpool at the King Power Stadium.

Incredibly, Monga is 22 years Foxes legend Jamie Vardy’s junior and is reported to have drawn interest from some of Europe’s top dogs already such as Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy revealed it was difficult to integrate Monga with the senior squad due to the player’s commitments at school.

“I also mentioned the situation still as a 15-year-old, with school, and with the possibility to have him around the team, it’s limited.

“When players are good enough the age doesn’t matter to me, and they can help the team.

“He’s developing really well and you can see how good he is.”

Monga is the first player born in 2009 to play in the Premier League and was just six years old when Leicester won the title in 2016.
