Novak Djokovic clinched his 100th ATP Tour title with his victory at the Geneva Open over the weekend, but which player has won the most titles in the history of the Open Era?
Djokovic Closes In On Open Era Title Record After 100th Win
Serbian legend Novak Djokovic won his 100th title on the ATP Tour at the Geneva Open last week, overcoming Marton Fucsovics, Matteo Arnaldi, Cameron Norrie and Hubert Hurkacz on his way to triumph.
The 38-year-old achieved the milestone off the back of a poor start to 2025, having lost in four of his last five tournament openers prior to his success in Switzerland. He also lost to 19-year-old Jakub Mensik in the Miami Open final.
But Djokovic, who recently announced his split from coach Andy Murray, now heads into the French Open bursting with confidence, where he’ll be looking to secure a record-extending 25th Grand Slam.
“I needed to win matches, and particularly on this surface,” Djokovic said in the aftermath of his Geneva Open win.
“For me at least, it doesn’t maybe come as natural to play well from the blocks, so to say, from the very first tournaments of the season on clay.
“So I’m the type of player that needs to get some matches under his belt before the big tournaments… of course, the biggest one being Roland Garros and being the biggest priority on this surface.
“After the Geneva title, I feel more confident. I feel more positive about my level of play because I had a lot of concerns regarding my game play, and I needed to reach a level that would be the one that I wanted as I was about to start the biggest tournament here.
“I still have a lot of ambitions, I still have high objectives. I will focus on the first round, and I would like to maintain this high level, this dedication hopefully to reach the best possible result.”
Who Has Won The Most Titles In The Open Era?
With his most recent triumph, Djokovic became just the third player in history to win 100 singles titles in the Open Era. He is now just three titles behind his old rival Roger Federer and nine adrift of the legendary Jimmy Connors.
The Serb also became the first man in the Open Era to win titles in 20 different seasons.

What Next For Novak Djokovic?
Up next for Djokovic, he takes on world No. 100 Mackenzie McDonald in the first round at Roland Garros.
The pair face off on Tuesday afternoon in what will be his first outing since winning the Geneva Open, and he’ll be hoping to pick up where he left off as he looks to win the tournament for a fourth time in his career.
He last won the event in 2023, following on from his triumphs in 2021 and 2016.
This year’s edition of the tournament could well be his last chance to win it again, with former world No. 1 Chris Evert claiming that Djokovic is heading towards retirement prior to his most recent title triumph.
