When Was The Champions League Final Last In Munich?

It’s been 13 years since the last time Munich played host to the UCL final.

In 2012, the Allianz Arena was the venue as Chelsea beat Bayern Munich on penalties in dramatic fashion.

The Premier League side went 1-0 down after 83 minutes as Thomas Muller put the hosts in front.

But a last-ditch equaliser from Blues hero Didier Drogba levelled the match in the dying minutes.

After an extra-time stalemate, Drogba scored the decisive penalty as Chelsea won the shootout 4-3 to lift the Champions League trophy for the first time in their history.
