What route will Liverpool’s bus parade take?
We can expect the 2025 parade to take the same route as both the 2019 and 2022 celebrations.
Spanning over 13.5km, the parade will begin at Allerton Maze in the south of the city before travelling northbound onto Queen’s Drive in the direction of the Fiveways roundabout (Chidwall) and on to the Rocket flyover.
It will then journey along Mill Bank, West Derby Road, Islington, Leeds Street and The Strand before finishing at Blundell Street.

We can also expect similar road closures to that of 2019 and 2022. The Strand will likely be closed northbound from Leeds Street/Old Hall Street junction to Blundell Street from early doors on May 26 before it is deemed safe to reopen.
The southbound lane will be closed later in the day too. Allerton Maze, Queen’s Drive, Millbank, West Derby Road (outward bound), Erskine Street, Islington, Hunter Street and Leeds Street will only be closed in the event of overcrowding.
West Derby Road citybound from Sheil Road will be closed in the afternoon until the parade finishes.
