West Ham Vs Brighton Report

West Ham and Brighton shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon as Julen Lopetegui’s side made it three consecutive games without defeat.

The under fire boss has created some much needed breathing space after a difficult start to the 2024/25 Premier League season.

Mats Wieffer gave the Seagulls the lead with 51 minutes on the clock. The Dutchman netted his first of the season after he pounced on Lukasz Fabianski’s dropped cross.

The Hammers didn’t take long to reply when star man Mohammed Kudus scored a fine effort to ensure the points were shared in east London.

Kaoru Mitoma almost won it late on but his effort struck the post. The result means Fabian Hurzeler’s side are without a league win in five games.

West Ham Vs Brighton Highlights

The 1-1 draw probably suited West Ham more than Brighton. Julen Lopetegui has now picked up five points from the last nine to move further away from the relegation zone.

For Mohammed Kudus, the Ghanaian is starting to look back to his best. The 24-year-old has scored and assisted in recent weeks after returning from his five-game suspension.

Having not won since beating Bournemouth in November, the Seagulls head into Christmas in ninth with 25 points from 17 games.

Manager Fabian Hurzeler will need to get back to winning ways soon before the south coast club continue their downward spiral.
