Leicester City’s woes continued on Thursday night as they were beaten 2-0 by West Ham at the London Stadium, and you can watch the full match highlights below.

Soucek Scores As Hammers Breeze Past Foxes

Looking to build on a surprising 1-0 win over Premier League title challengers Arsenal in Gameweek 27, West Ham returned to the London Stadium to take on relegation battlers Leicester City on Thursday night.

The Foxes, managed by Ruud van Nistelrooy, came into the clash off the back of four successive defeats.

It didn’t take long to see why the East Midlands outfit boast this poor record either, as the Hammers took the advantage after just 21 minutes. The goal came courtesy of Czech Republic international Tomas Soucek, who bundled home the opener after Mohammed Kudus’ close-range effort was kept out by Mads Hermansen.

Graham Potter’s side continued to threaten the visitors throughout the remainder of the first half, and just before the half-time time whistle, they were rewarded for their efforts.

A corner was whipped in to the near post, and despite Jamie Vardy’s attempted clearance, the ball fell perfectly into the path of Jarrod Bowen. The England international, after some nice footwork, launched his effort against Jannik Vestergaard, with the deflection sending the ball beyond Hermansen to double the hosts’ advantage.

It was a somewhat improved performance from the Foxes in the second period, as they ed a few half chances, but ultimately, they were unable to provide a response, confirming a fifth consecutive defeat across all competitions.

With the result, Leicester remain five points adrift of safety in 19th place, while West Ham climb above Everton into 15th place, level on points with both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
