Liverpool manager Arne Slot casually dropped a swear word during his press conference when discussing player contracts.

The Dutch manager, who is still getting to grips with the English language, made a slip of the tongue while discussing the importance of players performing well to secure new deals.

“If they played badly—not to say s**t this time!—it’s a good thing you ask if they renew because it says they play well!” Slot said.

This isn’t the first time he’s used this particular expletive in a press conference, having previously done so in August while discussing Ryan Gravenberch.

Despite his attempts to avoid using the word, Slot managed to repeat it while emphasising that he wouldn’t say it again. His comedic moments have endeared him to fans, and this latest slipup is sure to be the subject of much amusement.

While the x-rated comment may be a source of laughter, it also highlights the ongoing contract negotiations involving Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mo Salah, and Virgil van Dijk.

Slot acknowledged the importance of resolving these issues to ensure the team’s continued success.

With the team currently leading the Liverpool welcome Chelsea to Anfield on Sunday.
