The PGA Tour heads to San Antonio, Texas this week for the 2025 Valero Texas Open. Just a handful of the world’s best golfers are teeing it up this week at TPC San Antonio, with $9.5 million worth of Valero Texas Open prize money on offer this week on the PGA Tour.

Below we have outlined the FULL purse breakdown for all 65 golfers who make the cut this week at the Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio. Any player who misses the cut won’t earn anything in prize money, with the full purse split between the 65 players who make the weekend.

$9.5 Million Purse On Offer At The 2025 Valero Texas Open

The PGA Tour remains in Texas for a second consecutive week after last week’s Texas Children’s Houston Open. This week it’s the turn of the Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio. The Oaks Course plays host to this PGA Tour event – the last before The Masters next week at Augusta.

Given that The Masters is just a week away, the majority of the best players in the world are taking a week off to prepare for the first major championship of the year. The likes of Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy aren’t in action this week, but there are still some top players in the field.

The likes of Ludvig Aberg, Patrick Cantlay, Hideki Matsuyama, Tommy Fleetwood and two-time Valero Texas Open winner Corey Conners are all in action this week as part of their final Masters preparation.

Last year it was left-handed golfer Akshay Bhatia who won just his second PGA Tour event, beating Denny McCarthy in a play-off after finishing on a score of -20. This year, he aims to go back-to-back and is one of the pre-tournament favourites with UK bookmakers.

Although this isn’t one of the biggest events on the PGA Tour, there is still some lucrative prize money on offer. The total prize money and purse splits for all 65 players who make the cut at the 2025 Valero Texas Open is $9.5 million.

Could we see an outsider win the 2025 Valero Texas Open, or will it be one of the aforementioned market leaders and big names?

All the action gets underway on Thursday 3rd April, with the 2025 Valero Texas Open taking centre stage this week on the PGA Tour. Who will lift the coveted trophy come Sunday after 72 holes?

The Prize Money For The 2025 Valero Texas Open Winner Is Over $1.7 Million

Whoever goes on to lift the trophy come Sunday will be in for a bumper payday and large share of the 2025 Valero Texas Open prize money pot. The total prize pot is up $300,000 from last year.

Whoever clinches victory come Sunday will leave TPC San Antonio with $1,710,000 extra in the bank, with the runner-up also pocketing a tidy $1,035,500. Even the player that finishes in 65th place, the last of the players who makes the cut, will be guaranteed a payday of $20,425. Not bad for four days of work!

Below is a table outlining the FULL 2025 Valero Texas Open prize money and purse breakdown. Each of the players will be battling it out to win a large share of the purse, as well as being crowned champion at the Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio.
