Kicking off this list of elites is former Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette. Across Lyon and Arsenal, the French frontman has played 58 games in the competition, scoring 26 times. The 33-year-old striker is still waiting for his first Europa League, having finished runner-up with Arsenal in 2018-19.

Lacazette scored 13 goals in 27 Europa League matches for Arsenal. Across two spells for Lyon, Lacazette has scored 13 times in 31 games.

#9 Aritz Aduriz: 26 Goals

Athletic Bilbao legend Aritz Aduriz has 26 Europa League goals to his name. Aduriz, who is third on Athletic Bilbao’s all-time scorers’ list, played 39 games. Aduriz did not get to lift the trophy, but he finished as the competition’s top scorer in the 2015-16 and 2017-18 seasons.

The former Spain international failed to score in the six Europa League games he played for Valencia. All of his 26 goals came for Athletic Bilbao in 33 matches.

The Portuguese goalscorer has found the back of the net 27 times in 56 appearances. Fernandes will be eager to win his first Europa League honour in Spain this Wednesday.

Fernandes has played for Sporting and, of course, Man Utd in the competition. He scored 11 goals in 19 games for the Portuguese outfit. For United, he has found the net 16 times in 37 games.

#7 Romelu Lukaku: 27 Goals*

Romelu Lukaku Scored for Fun During His First Spell With Inter

Belgium’s all-time leading scorer, Romelu Lukaku, has scored 27 times in the UEFA Europa League. Across Anderlecht, Everton, Inter Milan, and Roma, Lukaku has played 46 games in the competition. His best Europa campaign came in the 2019-20 season, as he helped Inter Milan reach the final. Competition’s most decorated team, Sevilla, denied Inter and Lukaku the trophy.

Lukaku, who currently plies his trade at Napoli, enjoyed his most efficient goalscoring run at Everton, as he scored eight times in nine games.

Scoring 28 goals in 60 Europa League outings, Bosnian marksman Edin Dzeko has captured the sixth spot in the all-time rankings. Like many greats on this list, Dzeko has also failed to win the Europa League.

Dzeko made his Europa League debut with Zeljeznicar, but failed to score in his sole European outing for the club. At VfL Wolfsburg, he scored 5 times in 14 outings. He also scored for Manchester City and Fenerbahce, but his best spell came at Roma, as he scored 17 times in 26 games.

#5 Dieter Muller: 29 Goals

Dieter Müller is One of the Top Scorers in Europa League History

Former German forward Dieter Muller scored 29 goals in the Europa League (then called the UEFA Cup) in 36 games, emerging as one of the most clinical strikers in the competition. The two-time Bundesliga top scorer, unfortunately, never got to stand on the top step in the UEFA Cup.

Muller played for FC Koln, VfB Stuttgart, and Bordeaux. He scored 25 goals in 31 games for Koln, 1 in 2 games for Stuttgart, and 3 in as many games for Bordeaux.

#4 Klaas-Jan Huntelaar: 30 Goals

Former Dutch forward Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored 30 goals in 50 games in the UEFA Europa League, emerging as one of the competition’s all-time top scorers. Huntelaar, however, never came close to tasting Europa League success.

Huntelaar, who retired in 2020, played for Heerenveen, Ajax, and Schalke 04 in the competition. He scored the most goals for the German club — 14 in 22 games — but was more clinical at Ajax, as he hit the back of the net 11 times in 15 games.

#3 Radamel Falcao: 30  Goals

The most efficient goalscorer on the list by a country mile, Radamel Falcao scored 30 goals in just 31 UEFA Europa League matches in his career, attaining an average of 0.97 goals per game. Falcao won the Europa League twice in his career.

His first success came with FC Porto in the 2010-11 season — his only Europa campaign with the Portuguese outfit. The Colombian sharpshooter scored 17 goals in just 14 games, snatching the top scorer award that season. Falcao won the competition the following season as well, this time with Atletico Madrid. He scored 12 goals in 15 games to not only fire Atletico to glory but also defend his top scorer award. His final Europa League dalliance came in 2012-13. Falcao scored one goal in two matches for Atletico.

#2 Henrik Larsson: 31 Goals

Henrik Larsson is second in the rankings, having found the back of the net 31 times in 45 appearances for three clubs between. The Swedish forward never won the Europa League / UEFA Cup. His narrowest miss came at the end of the 2002-03 season, as Celtic lost the final to Porto. Interestingly, however, Larsson won the UEFA Champions League, with his maiden success coming with Barcelona in 2006.

Larsson scored one goal in six games for Feyenoord and six in eight matches for Helsingborg. His most successful run came at Celtic, as he found the net 24 times in 31 games.

#1 Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: 34 Goals

Boasting a record of 34 goals in 62 appearances during his career, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is Mr. Europa League — the competition’s all-time top scorer. The former Gabonese forward, unfortunately, never got to lift the Europa League trophy. He came the closest in the 2018-19 season with Arsenal, as the Gunners lost the title decider to Chelsea.

Aubameyang represented five clubs in the competition — Lille (could not score), Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Marseille. He was particularly clinical at Marseille, as he scored 10 times in just 13 outings.
