A first senior goal from Tyrique George and a Noni Madueke brace helped Chelsea ease past Legia Warsaw 3-0 in the Conference League quarter-final 1st leg.

Legia Vs Chelsea Highlights

Chelsea ran out comfortable 3-0 winners against Legia Warsaw on Thursday in the Conference League quarter-final 1st leg.

Tyrique George netted his first senior goal when he followed up Reece James’ volley and tapped home the rebound from Kaer Tobiasz’s save.

It was a huge moment from the Blues graduate who caused the Poles plenty of problems at the Stadion Wojska Polskiego.

As expected, Enzo Maresca’s side dominated proceedings. The west Londoners had 24 shots on goal and boasted 72 per cent possession.

Maresca saw his side double their advantage when Noni Madueke finished with aplomb after being teed up by Jadon Sancho. The Manchester United loanee also went on to assist Madueke’s second.

That wasn’t before Christopher Nkunku was fouled in the box with 70 minutes on the clock. The Frenchman took the spot kick himself but saw his effort saved.

A revitalised Sancho looked unplayable at times and went on to provide for Madueke once again just seconds after the penalty miss.

The former Borussia Dortmund star ran clear of his marker down the right hand side and crossed for Madueke to tap home from close range.
