His Excellency Turki Alalshikh has confirmed that the Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia rematch has been signed, with a deal struck for a fight between the pair this year in Saudi Arabia.

Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia Rematch Confirmed

His Excellency Turki Alalshikh has confirmed in a recent interview that a deal has been struck between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney for their hotly-anticipated rematch.

Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia of course fought in April 2024, with ‘King Ry’ getting the better of his bitter rival, winning via majority decision over ‘The Dream’.

The build up to the fight was strange, with Ryan Garcia acting very out of character with some fans calling for the fight to be postponed due to Garcia’s mental state. However, Garcia put on an incredibly display, dropping ‘The Dream’ on three occasions throughout the fight on his way to victory.

However, the fight was later deemed a ‘no contest’ due to Garcia failing a performance enhancing drugs test. Even since then, the bad blood has brewed, with a rematch being one of the most highly-anticipated fights of 2025.

Now it seems that the second Garcia vs Haney dance could happen later this year, after Turki Alalshikh has confirmed the fight has been agreed and a deal has been struck. Boxing fans are in for a treat later this year, as the Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia rematch goes down in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

A date is yet to be confirmed, but it has been rumoured that the bout will take place in October time. By then, Garcia’s ban will have ed, and a rematch between the two bitter rivals can go ahead. What a treat for boxing fans to see one of the biggest fights in boxing go down for the second time!

Turki Alalshikh Confirms Garcia vs Haney Rematch ‘Is Done’

In a recent interview with talkSPORT, His Excellency Turki Alalshikh revealed some huge plans for future Riyadh Season cards. The Saudi Arabia boxing chief also mentioned several fighters he wants to work with in 2025, including Canelo‘, Terence Crawford, Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney to name but a few.

With that in mind, Alalshikh revealed that Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney will rematch this year in Saudi Arabia, with the back end of 2025 a likely timeframe. When asked about the Garcia vs Haney rematch, His Excellency:

“This is done,” Turki Alalshikh told talkSPORT. The Saudi billionaire was also questioned on the Canelo vs Crawford fight, but kept his cards close to his chest for that proposed fight. He also mentioned his desire to stage Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder once and for all, as well as some other intriguing match-ups.

Should the rematch go down later this year, the best boxing betting sites in the UK would likely favour Ryan Garcia this time. ‘King Ry’ was a huge underdog first time around, but given he won the fight convincingly before it got ruled a no contest, he will likely be the favourite to beat Devin Haney once again.

Time will tell when this fight gets officially announced, but first Garcia must serve out the rest of his ban. Haney may have a warm up fight in the interim, with all eyes on a late 2025 Garcia vs Haney 2 showdown at the back end of the year.
