Trent Alexander-Arnold Opens Up On His Contract Situation With Real Madrid Looming For Another Potential Blockbuster Free Transfer

The Trent Alexander-Arnold contract situation appears no closer to being resolved after the Liverpool star made a cryptic ission after the gameweek 5 victory against Bournemouth. 

A Luis Diaz quick-fire double and a superb strike from Darwin Nunez secured the points at Anfield. Alexander-Arnold made his 100th goal involvement when he laid on an assist for Diaz’s second.

It also meant that the England international kept his fourth Premier League clean sheet of the season after just five games. The 25-year-old has made a superb start to the new campaign.

However, doubts over his future will continue to surface. In the summer, his current deal runs out and he is free to talk to potential suitors from January 2025. Including Real Madrid.

Trent Alexander-Arnold Contract Talks Reveal Cryptic Message

The Trent Alexander-Arnold contract talks haven’t revealed too much at this stage. Other than a seemingly underlying cryptic message about his future.

Real Madrid have previously been linked with a move for the right-back. The rumours are all the more believable owing to the fact they have pulled off a series of blockbuster free transfers in recent years.

Furthermore, Alexander-Arnold and England teammate Jude Bellingham are very good friends off the pitch. Could the 21-year-old help sway a move to Spain?

“I have been at the club 20 years now. I have signed four or five contract extensions and none of those have been played out in public. This one won’t be either,” explained Alexander-Arnold.

It appears that the Liverpool star values his privacy – especially on contract talks which is more than understandable. Whether the discussions are positive or negative, they’ll remain behind closed doors.

“I have always said I want to captain the club. That is an aim of mine and a goal of mine; whether that happens is out of my hands, to be honest,” he stated.

“The most important thing is trophies. I want to win trophies. I’m a player who is highly motivated by winning things and being elite,” he concluded.
