‘The Best in the World’ – sco Totti Wants Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti to Coach Roma

Italy legend sco Totti has expressed his desire to see Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti take charge of AS Roma next season.
The Los Blancos boss sees his contract expire in June 2026.
Roma suffered a difficult start to the 2024-25 Serie A season, with them winning just two of their first nine matches (4 D, 3 L). In November, Claudio Ranieri came out of retirement to help the club, and it is safe to say that he has done a fine job.
With 43 points to their name after 27 games, AS Roma find themselves in eighth place in the Serie A rankings. They have won four of their last five league games (1 D), with only Juventus outshining them (5 W).

According to reports, Ranieri is likely to step down at the end of the season, and ex-Italy international Antonio Cassano asked Totti to name a replacement.
On the Viva el Fútbol Twitch programme, Cassano asked:
“Who would you like as coach of Roma to reach the fourth place or the Scudetto?”
Totti replied:
“If I had to say a coach, Rainieri is doing well now, but I don’t know if he will be given another chance next year.
“Ancelotti, but he won’t come. If I were the technical director, I would call him. Let’s say if I had to pick up the phone myself or anyone, if I did it would be different?”
Totti then explained why Ancelotti was the right man for the job.
“For me, the coach is fundamental, he must be good at putting the players on the field. But for me, it must be the coach, it’s not easy to manage champions.
“Ancelotti is the best in the world at this, yes. If you talk to the players, they are all in love with him. There must be a reason for that.”
Ancelotti, 65, is one of the most accomplished managers in history. The Real Madrid boss, who has also managed Juventus, Milan, Chelsea, PSG, and Bayern Munich, is the first and only coach to win the title across all five major European leagues. The four-time World’s Best Club Coach has also won a whopping five UEFA Champions League trophies and three FIFA Club World Cups.
