Newly promoted Ipswich head to North London to take on Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, and we’ve got the latest in of team news and confirmed lineups, as well as a prediction alongside our preview.

Tottenham vs Ipswich Preview

Ange Postecoglou and his Tottenham side welcome Ipswich Town to North London on Sunday afternoon, where they’ll be looking to bounce back after suffering a 3-2 defeat to Turkish champions Galatasaray in the Europa League on Thursday.

That defeat marked an end to Spurs’ two-game winning streak across all competitions, having impressively beaten Manchester City 2-1 in the Carabao Cup and Aston Villa 4-1 in the Premier League last weekend.

Tottenham head into Gameweek 11 in seventh place in the English top-flight table, two points adrift of Chelsea, Arsenal and Aston Villa in fourth, fifth and sixth, and nine points behind league-leaders Liverpool.

Newly promoted Ipswich, meanwhile, are down in the relegation zone in 18th place, two points from safety behind Crystal Palace, as they are still yet to record a victory in the league this term.

Kieran McKenna’s side have drawn five of their last eight matches, most recently playing out a 1-1 draw against Leicester at Portman Road last weekend, which followed three successive defeats to West Ham, Everton and Brentford.

Sunday’s clash will be the first competitive meeting between the pair since the 2001/02 Premier League season, where the Tractor Boys ran out as 2-1 winners both home and away despite being relegated at the end of the campaign.

Tottenham Team News

Postecoglou confirmed on Friday morning that his squad got through the Galatasaray defeat unscathed, while also revealing that central defender Cristian Romero was touch and go for the tie having only just returned to training.

However, Romero has been deemed fit enough to start, and partners Radu Dragusin at the back for Spurs.

The Australian manager also revealed that Mikey Moore and Timo Werner will miss out, which sees them Micky van de Ven (hamstring), Richarlison (hamstring) and Wilson Odobert (thigh) on the sidelines. Djed Spence is a doubt, too.

Ipswich Team News

As for the visitors, they are without Manchester City loanee Kalvin Phillips following his red card against Leicester, while defender Harry Clarke returns to the bench after serving his one-match suspension.

Injury-wise, all of Chiedozie Ogbene (achilles), Axel Tuanzebe (hand), Jacob Greaves (thigh), Jack Taylor (unspecified) and Janoi Donacien (ankle) are ruled out.

Tottenham vs Ipswich Confirmed Lineups

Tottenham Confirmed Lineup:

Vicario; Porro, Romero, Dragusin, Udogie; Kulusevski, Bentancur, Sarr; Johnson, Solanke, Son

Ipswich Confirmed Lineup:

Tottenham vs Ipswich Prediction

The UK’s best football betting sites are favouring Spurs to claim three points at home on Sunday, and we tend to agree, as we’re backing the North Londoners to triumph in fairly comfortable fashion.

With wins over City and Villa in their last two domestic matches, while Ipswich are winless in the league and have lost three of their last four, it’s hard to envisage anything other than a Tottenham victory in this one.

Of course, the Galatasaray defeat raises some alarm bells, but that result can be put down to a second-string lineup being fielded. They should return to full strength for the Tractor Boys’ visit, which will surely see them return to winning ways ahead of November’s international window.

Prediction: Tottenham 3-1 Ipswich
