Are Rusev and Lana still married? Here’s the latest on their relationship status.

The Bulgarian Brute officially returned on the Raw after WrestleMania, sparking excitement among fans.

Along with the buzz surrounding his comeback, many are curious about his personal life—especially his relationship with CJ Perry, better known as Lana.

The couple have had their share of ups and downs, but where do they stand now?

Are Rusev and Lana Still Married?

Yes! Despite a separation in late 2023, Rusev (Miro) and Lana (CJ Perry) reconciled in June 2024.

The couple, who never legally divorced, renewed their wedding vows in a ceremony in Los Angeles and now split their time between LA and Bulgaria.

This update came just ahead of Rusev’s return to WWE, sparking speculation that Lana might also be returning to the company. That speculation has now partially been addressed.

Rusev WWE Raw Return

After months of speculation, Rusev officially re-signed with WWE and made his on-screen return during the Raw After WrestleMania on April 21, 2025.

He made a dominant return by interrupting a match segment and taking out of The New Day and Alpha Academy, immediately re-establishing himself as a powerful force.

WWE have reportedly signed Rusev to a two-year deal and plan to feature him prominently in storylines. Backstage reports indicate that the locker room reaction has been positive, with many talents welcoming his return.

Will Lana Return to WWE?

Initially, reports suggested CJ Perry (Lana) was not expected to return.

However, more recent information reveals that she has signed a WWE Legends contract. This type of deal typically involves appearances in promotional or legacy capacities rather than full-time in-ring or on-screen roles.

Though Lana was not present for Rusev’s surprise return on Raw—reportedly to avoid spoiling the moment—she was involved behind the scenes.

While there’s no confirmation of an on-screen role for her at this time, the door appears open should WWE creative decide to incorporate her into future storylines.

Perry last appeared in AEW in a short storyline with Miro before her release in April 2024. Her WWE tenure previously saw her transition from managing Rusev to becoming an in-ring competitor.

What’s Next for Rusev in WWE?

With Rusev back in the WWE mix and his explosive return behind him, the stage is set for a reinvigorated push.

WWE has reportedly indicated plans to feature Rusev “in a major way”, and fans are eager to see whether the company will finally give him the spotlight many believe he deserves.

Given the positive reception from both fans and talent backstage, all signs point to a strong future for Rusev in WWE—whether in mid-card dominance or a potential main event push.

As always, stay tuned for more updates on Rusev’s WWE journey, Lana’s evolving status, and how this return reshapes the WWE landscape in 2025.

Happy Rusev Day!
