Ruben Amorim has declared he is the ‘right guy’ to take Manchester United back to their former glory.

Ruben Amorim Says He Is A ‘Dreamer’ But Is ‘Right’ For Manchester United

Ruben Amorim took charge of United this month and has insisted the Old Trafford job is not an impossible one.

Ahead of his first game in charge against Ipswich on Sunday, Amorim has set out his stall in Manchester.

“The club is still big, it is still the best in England and we want to win,” Amorim said on Friday.

The 39-year-old has the challenge of making United a title threat again – something his predecessors struggled with. But when Amorim was asked if it was the impossible job, the United boss dismissed the suggestion.

“Of course not,” he said. “Call me naïve but I believe I am the right guy in the right moment. I truly believe I am the right guy. I am a little bit a dreamer and I believe in myself and I believe in the club, I think we have the same idea, the same mindset and that can help.”

Ruben Amorim Reveals What Jose Mourinho Said To Him

Ruben Amorim has revealed that former Man United boss Jose Mourinho told him what to expect at Old Trafford.

In a glowing review of United, Mourinho said the club is ‘lovely’ and has ‘lovely people’.

“He sent me a message and told me that this is a lovely club, a big club, with lovely people – and that is correct,” said Amorim. “It still is.

“But a lot of things change and we are in a different building now; we are building a new one, and I am different guy. I was learning at the time and I hope to now teach something here too, to my players.
“But the club is still big and is still the best club in England, and we want to win again, that is all.”
