Every UK Letter To Have Congratulatory Message For Rory McIlroy
Rory McIlroy removed the biggest weight from his shoulders at the 2025 Masters, as the Northern Irish golf star won the tournament for the first time in his career.
Earning the green jacket put McIlroy into an elite list, as he became only the sixth player to complete the career gland slam in golf.
The 35-year-old was in contention for winning the tournament from the get-go, however, his final day performance almost saw this dream slip.
On the final hole, McIlroy needed a par to win the Masters and with a putt left to secure the victory, the Northern Irishman missed and left a play-off against Justin Rose.
He faced the same fate again as he was left with a putt to win the tournament and this time McIlroy found the hole to end his bad luck at Augusta.
Since then the applause and joy for the Northern Irishman has been off the scale, with many suggesting that this is the biggest achievement from a United Kingdom athlete ever.
With this said, the golfer has now received a huge sign of respect from the UK and will be handed a notable prize between April 15-17th.

Every letter sent between these two dates will have a congratulatory message for the Masters winner and is one of the first athletes to ever receive such a prize.
The PGA No.2 may hold this prize dearer than his winnings at Augusta, although McIlroy did pick up around £4 million for his success at the 2025 Masters.
A trip to TPC Louisiana, Avodale, LA, USA is up next for the Northern Irishman as he competes in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans from April 24-27.
