Rangers take a 3-1 lead into the Europa League RO16 second-leg on Thursday evening after an impressive performance against Fenerbahce in leg one and you can find our preview, prediction, team news and predicted lineups below.

Rangers vs Fenerbahce Preview

The Scottish stunned their Europa League opponents at the Ulker Stadium Sukru Saracoglu, winning 3-1 thanks to a Cyriel Dressers opener and Vaclav Cerny brace.

Rangers were heavy underdogs on UK betting sites going into the match and are now looking to make the Europa League quarter finals for the first time since 2021-22.

Fenerbahce had some strong chances in the opening match and the Gers did ride their lack at points, but the Scottish side continued to be a threat on the counter.

Neither side has played since the opening encounter, however, their league campaigns are in despair as both sides are trailing to their major rivals (Rangers are 16 points behind Celtic and Fenerbahce are seven points behind Galatasaray who have a game in hand).

The last time these two sides met in Scotland it ended in a 0-0 stalemate back in August 2001 in a Champions League qualification match.

Rangers vs Fenerbahce Team News

Rangers were hit with an injury concern in the opening leg as Robin Propper was forced off in the early stages of the match and is a doubt for Thursday’s match.

Neraysho Kasamwiejo, Rafael Fernandes and Oscar Cortes are all unavailable for selection but Barry Ferguson has a full squad otherwise.

Fenerbahce will be without Caglar Soyuncu Jayden Oosterwolde, Rodrigo Becao, Diego Carlos, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ismail Yuksek through injury.

Rangers vs Fenerbahce Predicted Lineups

Rangers: Butland; Tavernier, Souttar, Balogun; Yilmaz, Barron, Raskin, Jefte; Diomande, Cerny; Dessers

Fenerbahce: Livakovic; Skriniar, Amrabat, Akcicek; Muldur, Szymanski, Fred, Kostic; Tadic; En-Neysri, Dzeko

Rangers vs Fenerbahce Prediction

Rangers will be full of confidence going into this Europa League clash after their performance in the opening leg – but Fenerbahce know they can create chances.

With that in mind, we expect a closer affair at the Ibrox Stadium and Rangers should make their way to the quarter final by earning a draw at home.

Prediction: Rangers 1-1 Fenerbahce
