Scroll down for our QPR vs Sheffield United preview, prediction, latest team news and predicted lineups ahead of Saturday afternoon’s clash.
QPR Vs Sheffield United Preview
QPR are still in the hunt for a playoff spot but their task has been much harder after a set of poor results in recent weeks. The West Londoners have picked up just six points from the last 18 available.
However, their last two victories have come on home turf. A 2-1 win over 5th-placed Blackburn before thumping Derby 4-0 on Valentines Day.
The R’s faithful haven’t witnessed Premier League football since 2015. It’ll take a huge effort to get back to the promised land with Marti Cifuentes’ men seven points off the top six.
Going into the last 12 games of the season, the Super Hoops are perched in 14th position. Considering Rangers were rock bottom before the turn of the year, they can be proud to be in mid-table.
Last time out, QPR were beaten 2-1 against Portsmouth. Jimmy Dunne’s stunning consolation was the in-demand defender’s fifth goal of the season.

Like their opponents, Sheffield United will be aiming to get back to winning ways on Saturday. The Blades automatic promotion hopes took a hit against Leeds on Monday night.
An Illan Meslier own goal gave Chris Wilder’s men a fine half-time lead. However, goals from Junior Firpo, Ao Tanaka and Joel Piroe gave the Whites all three points at Bramall Lane.
United are still in second but they are just two points above 3rd-placed Burnley. Owing to their excellent defensive record, the Clarets have a much better goal difference which could prove vital come May.
In the reverse fixture, the sides played out an entertaining 2-2 draw. Gustavo Hamer and Kieffer Moore gave the Blades a comfortable lead before Dunne and Lyndon Dykes hauled the visitors level.

QPR Vs Sheffield United Team News
Harvey Vale, Rayan Kolli and Zan Celar are definitely ruled out for QPR. It’s expected that Jack Clarke-Salter and Lucas Andersen will also be absent.
On a brighter note, Karamoko Dembele made his first appearance since October last weekend. The tricky winger will likely start on the bench as he regains fitness after his long-term knee injury.
Meanwhile, Sheffield United will be missing Femi Seriki and midfielder Oliver Arblaster. Harry Clarke may also be ruled off after coming off at half-time against Leeds.
Tom Cannon, Kieffer Moore and top-scorer Gustavo Hamer are all back in contention. However, the latter is the only one likely to start at Loftus Road.
