Aston Villa 1-1 Ipswich Town Highlights
Kieran McKenna’s men earned a vital point away at Aston Villa to keep their hopes of staying in the Premier League alive.
Things looked to be heading south for Ipswich after Axel Tuanzebe was sent off for two bookable offences against his former side.
However, after some silky footwork from Omari Hutchinson followed by a superb cross, Liam Delap was there to put his side ahead against the run of play.
The hosts responded swiftly through Ollie Watkins, as the Englishman reacted quickest following Marcus Rashford’s wood-work striking free kick.
West Ham 0-1 Brentford Highlights
In what was a bleak affair at the London Stadium, highlights were few and far between as Brentford clinched a vital three points.
The visitors took the lead through Kevin Schade, as the German was the first to react to a rebound and placed the ball into an open net.
Yoane Wissa thought he had doubled Brentford’s lead, however, VAR intervened to rule the goal out for offside and Thomas Frank’s side held on to clinch all three points.
Fulham 2-1 Nottingham Forest Highlights
The Cottagers took the lead in the opening 15 minutes as Emile Smith-Rowe made his way into the box and latched on to a superb Adama Traore cross.
Nottingham Forest found an equaliser through their talisman, Chris Wood, as the New Zealand international scored his 18th Premier League goal.
Fulham secured all three points in the 62nd minute, as Calvin Bassey reacted to Raul Jimenez’s flick-on and smashed the ball past Matz Sels.
Man City 4-0 Newcastle Highlights
Omar Marmoush scored his first Premier League goal and followed it up with two more to bag a truly superb hat-trick and help inflict a thumping on Newcastle.
James McAtee came on from the bench to add a fourth and cap a superb display from Pep Guardiola’s side ahead of a trip to Madrid in the Champions League.
Newcastle struggled to get into the game this afternoon and will be hoping to put this result behind them, as their Carabao Cup final clash against Liverpool looms.
Southampton 1-3 Bournemouth Highlights
The Cherries continued their inspiring Premier League campaign with a comfortable 3-1 win over Southampton, as Dango Ouattara opened the scoring with a delicate finish.
Just two minutes later Bournemouth doubled their lead, as Ryan Christie latched on to a Justin Kluivert assist and placed the ball into the back of the net.
Southampton pulled one back in the 72nd minute through Kamaldeen Sulemana, however, the visitors restored their two-goal lead and clinched the win as Marcus Tavernier found the target after some good work from Antoine Semenyo.
