The latest UFC 319 rumours are that Alex Pereira vs Magomed Ankalaev 2 is being targeted for UFC 319 later this year. The Ankalaev vs Pereira rematch will once again have the UFC Light-Heavyweight Title on the line if indeed the bout is signed and confirmed for UFC 319.

‘Poatan’ went into the first fight with Ankalaev at UFC 313 as a pre-fight favourite with the Pereira was defeated by Ankalaev and a new champion was crowned.

Now, reports are circulating that the Magomed Ankalaev vs Alex Pereira rematch could go down at UFC 319 later in 2025.

Given how Pereira was a long-reigning UFC champion having made several defences, it comes as no surprise to learn that the Brazilian is being granted an immediate rematch with Ankalaev after losing the 205-pound belt.

Pereira confirmed that he fought at UFC 313 with an injury, but didn’t want to use it as an excuse when asked about it on The Ariel Helwani Show this past week.

UFC President Dana White will be hopeful of making this Ankalaev vs Pereira rematch too, given that it is one of the biggest fights to make now with a narrative to sell pay-per-views too.

At the end of the day, Alex Pereira remains one of the biggest stars in the entire UFC, despite losing his belt. If he could win it back and the UFC 319 rumours are true, then his stardom could grow even further.

With the Magomed Ankalaev vs Alex Pereira rematch being targeted for UFC 319, some fans may be intrigued by the betting lines already. Despite the fight not being officially announced yet and seven months away in prospect, some MMA fans are already intrigued as to what the latest odds will be.

It is likely that the UFC 313 and became the new 205-pound champion.

That being said, Pereira did win at least two rounds on some of the judges’ scorecards. If he can start faster and fight more like what we’re used to seeing, there is no reason why the Brazilian couldn’t become a two-time UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion.
