Rumours are circulating that Charles Oliveira vs Ilia Topuria is being targeted for UFC 317 in International Fight Week. The fight would mark Topuria’s first fight up at lightweight after vacating the UFC Featherweight Title.

Charles Oliveira vs Ilia Topuria Targeted For UFC 317

UFC 317 is fast approaching as his year’s pay-per-view event in International Fight Week has been confirmed for the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 28th.

Although UFC President Dana White has officially revealed a date and venue for the blockbuster card, as of today there have still be no fights confirmed for the event.

Although there have been no fights officially confirmed, there have of course been several rumours of big fights that could head to UFC 317 this summer. The biggest of the lot is a potential Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall clash, which has been targeted for the UFC 317 main event.

Islam Makhachev for the UFC Lightweight Title.

None of these fights have been confirmed yet, and now there is another rumour being thrown about. That’s right, it is being reported that Ilia Topuria is now being targeted for UFC 317 in International Fight Week.

The bout has not yet been confirmed, but there is a chance it could be made official in the coming weeks for UFC 317. It remains to be seen whether this is the main event or not, but it is like to be a co-main event to Jones vs Aspinall or another blockbuster UFC Title fight.

This would be a cracking fight and one worthy of a UFC 317 slot. Ilia Topuria rumours are gathering momentum and a UFC 317 showdown could be on the cards next!

Ilia Topuria Set For UFC Lightweight Debut In International Fight Week Versus Former Champ Charles Oliveira

With the latest Ilia Topuria rumours rife in the world of UFC, fans are getting excited at the prospect of watching the unbeaten former UFC Featherweight Champion make his 155-pound debut.

After knocking out Max Holloway back-to-back, ‘El Matador’ is chasing greatness as he looks to become a two-division UFC champion.

A win against ‘Do Bronx’ in his first fight up at 155-pounds would be one helluva statement. Oliveira is currently ranked #2 in the official Islam Makhachev and the UFC Lightweight Title.

Topuria will likely go into a fight with Oliveira as a favourite with the best UFC betting sites for their proposed International Fight Week clash. He is the younger, fresher fighter and has never tasted defeat before.

However, Oliveira is more than capable of beating ‘El Matador’ and will be confident of a win himself. Should ‘Do Bronx’ beat the Spanish-Georgian MMA phenom, then he would be guaranteed the next shot at Islam Makhachev late this year or in early 2026.

Time will tell whether Charles Oliveira vs Ilia Topuria is a legitimate rumour and gets officially announced for UFC 317, or if it has no legs at all and is all smoke and mirrors.
