Brentford Vs Nottingham Forest Report

Nottingham Forest recorded a fine 2-0 win against Brentford in west London to condemn the Bees to their first home Premier League defeat of the season.

Goals from Ola Aina and Anthony Elanga ensured Forest went back to the City with all three points. Most notably, the Tricky Trees will spend Christmas in the top four.

The victory further demonstrates how far Nuno Espirito Santo has taken the club since taking charge last season. The latest win is Forest’s third in a row in England’s elite.

After a cagey start, Chris Wood came closest to open the scoring but was denied by Mark Flekken. Just minutes later, Aina went one better to steer home from Neco Williams’ cross.

In the second-half, Elanga wrapped up the three points when he capitalised on a Keane Lewis-Potter mistake to finish past Flekken.

Brentford Vs Nottingham Forest Highlights

After their third game in six days, Brentford ran out of steam to surrender their fine unbeaten home run at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The Bees had only dropped two points in west London all season before Nottingham Forest came to town. Thomas Frank’s side have now lost three games in all competitions this week.

From Forest’s perspective, their fairytale season goes on. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have tasted victory in their last three outings.

Questions will now arise about how far the Tricky Trees can go this season. Santo and his players refuse to budge from the UEFA Champions League spots.

According to the best football betting sites in the UK, Forest can be backed at 12/1 to finish in the top four this season. Can they achieve the unthinkable?
