Next Leeds Manager Betting Odds: Bielsa Backed To Make Sensational Return

Leeds United are celebrating promotion – but Daniel Farke could still be replaced this summer.
Leeds bosses are thought to be concerned about Farke’s record in the Premier League – after he was relegated with Norwich in 2020 and was then sacked in November 2021 after they’d taken just five points from 11 games. With Farke’s future in doubt, a former Leeds manager could be about to make an incredible return to Elland Road.

Marcelo Bielsa Installed As Favourite To Be Leeds’ Next Manager

Argentinian manager Marcelo Bielsa had a huge impact as Leeds boss – and the best football betting sites in the UK have him as the 4/1 favourite in the next Leeds manager odds market.
Bielsa had had a glittering managerial career, including spells in charge of Argentina and Chile as well as Lazio and Athletic Bilbao, when he was appointed by Leeds in 2018.
They missed out on promotion in Bielsa’s first season in charge after a dramatic play-off semi-final with Derby, but they won the Championship title in 2020 to return to the Premier League for the first time in 16 years.
Leeds finished in an impressive ninth place in 2020-21, but after four defeats in a row and with the side battling relegation, Bielsa was sacked in February 2022.
He is currently the Uruguay coach, but he is still a very popular figure among many Leeds fans and would be the sort of big-name appointment that could well appeal to the club’s board.
Spurs Boss Ange Postecoglou Fancied To Take Over At Leeds

Ange Postecoglou looks almost certain to leave Tottenham this summer – and he’s the second favourite to take over at Leeds.
Postecoglou was linked with Leeds in 2023 after they sacked Jesse Marsch, but the Australian stayed at Celtic and ended up winning the domestic treble that season.
He has found life much tougher at Spurs, who are on course for their worst Premier League finish this century, but he has led them to the semi-finals of the Europa League.
If Postecoglou does indeed leave Tottenham this summer, he is expected to figure prominently in Leeds’ thinking if they decide to sack Farke.
Could Leeds Turn To A Premier League Novice?

There are lots of big names in the Leeds next manager market – but the third favourite according to the oddsmakers is a man who has never worked outside Norway.
Kjetil Knutsen is currently in charge of Bodø/Glimt and has won the Norwegian title in four of the last five seasons.
Knutsen has also performed wonders in this season’s Europa League, with Bodø/Glimt knocking out Twente, Olympiacos and Lazio on the way to the semi-finals – where they will meet Tottenham.
Like Postecoglou, Knutsen was also reported to be on Leeds’ shortlist in 2023 – and his success since then could well convince the Elland Road club to make a move for him this time around.
Mourinho Among The Contenders For The Leeds Job

If Leeds’ American owners wanted a big name to lead them into next season, then Jose Mourinho would be one of the standout picks.
Mourinho has a proven track record in the Premier League, of course, after winning three titles in two spells at Chelsea.
He has also managed Manchester United and Tottenham, and has frequently been linked with a return to England.
Mourinho is under contract to Fenerbahce until the summer of 2026 – but intriguingly he said earlier this season that he was “ready to go” to “any club in England” that doesn’t play in Europe. Could the challenge of managing Leeds persuade him to return to the Premier League?
Two Former Liverpool Managers Also Linked With Leeds

Brendan Rodgers and Jurgen Klopp are also in the running to become the new Leeds boss, according to the best football betting sites in the UK .
Rodgers could win the domestic treble with Celtic this season but is regularly linked with a return to the Premier League, with Tottenham among the clubs said to be considering a move for him.
Klopp only started his job as Red Bull’s Head of Global Soccer in January but is reported to be unhappy in the role – though whether he would want to manage another English club after enjoying such success at Liverpool could be a stumbling block if Leeds do target him.
Another man with very strong Liverpool connections, Steven Gerrard, and England Under 21s boss Lee Carsley are among the other candidates if Leeds do get rid of Farke.
Commentary: sportscasting.com/uk spokesman Shane Orton reacted to our ‘Leeds Manager Odds’ saying:
“Some people might think Leeds would be making a mistake if they got rid of Daniel Farke after he got them promoted – but we know there’s no room for sentiment in football and Leeds’ owners are very ambitious.
“It didn’t end well for Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds, but he made a huge impact in his first spell at the club and had a very close relationship with his fans. You always expect the unexpected with Bielsa – which is why he is the favourite to replace Farke.
“It’s interesting to see Ange Postecoglou and Kjetil Knutsen high up the betting after Leeds apparently considered appointing them a couple of years back.
“What Leeds do next is going to be fascinating to see – but one thing’s for sure: lots of managers would love the chance to manage such a big club in the Premier League.“
