West Ham head up north to take on Newcastle in the Premier League on Monday evening, and we’ve got the latest team news and predicted lineups, as well as a score prediction included alongside our preview.

Newcastle vs West Ham Preview

Eddie Howe and his Newcastle side welcome West Ham to St. James’ Park for Monday evening’s sole Premier League fixture as the Magpies bid to make it four successive victories across all competitions.

Their winning run got underway with a 2-0 triumph over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup at the end of October, and they followed that up with impressive victories over Arsenal and high-flying Nottingham Forest.

It’s a return that sees the Magpies head into Gameweek 12 in eighth place in the English top-flight table, just a point behind Chelsea, Arsenal, Forest and Brighton in third, fourth, fifth and sixth, while West Ham are down in 14th.

The Hammers have suffered an underwhelming start to the campaign and played out a 0-0 draw with Everton last time out, which followed a bitterly disappointing 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.

Their league record for the season stands at three wins, three draws and five defeats, leaving them with 12 points after 11 matches, just five points clear of Crystal Palace in the relegation zone ahead of the weekend’s action.

Newcastle are unbeaten in each of their last five meetings with the Hammers, most recently coming out on top via a 4-3 scoreline back in March, while last season’s reverse fixture at the London Stadium ended in a 2-2 stalemate.

Newcastle Team News

Monday’s hosts have several injury concerns heading into this one, with all of Jamaal Lascelles (knee), Emil Krafth (shoulder) and Sven Botman (knee) ruled out, while Callum Wilson (back) and Kieran Trippier (thigh) are doubts.

Dan Burn will also miss West Ham’s visit, with the defender being ruled out through suspension.

West Ham Team News

As for the Hammers, they remain without the injured Niclas Fullkrug (calf), as well as the suspended Mohammed Kudus.

In more positive news, they are able to welcome back Mexican defensive midfielder Edson Alvarez after he served a one-match suspension last time out, while Alphonse Areola is available for selection after returning from injury.

Newcastle vs West Ham Predicted Lineups

Newcastle Predicted Lineup:

Newcastle vs West Ham Prediction

The UK’s best football betting sites are heavily favouring Newcastle to prevail against the Hammers in Tyneside, and based on the pair’s recent form, we at SportsCasting agree and are backing the hosts to come out on top.

As previously mentioned, the Magpies have won each of their last three matches across all competitions, they are unbeaten in five against Monday’s visitors, and West Ham are winless in their last two.

We can’t envisage anything other than three points going the way of the hosts, with all signs pointing towards a Newcastle victory.

Prediction: Newcastle 3-1 West Ham
