Alexander Isak Injury: Newcastle Left Sweating Over Striker’s Fitness

Magpies’ Premier League clash against Palace. However, the Swedish striker was left on the deck following a collision with an opposition defender.

While Isak played on temporarily, he soon returned to the floor looking in some discomfort.

It left Newcastle boss Eddie Howe with no other option than to replace his star striker with Harvey Barnes.

Alexander Isak’s Injury Means He Is A Doubt For Liverpool’s Midweek Visit

It is unclear how severe Alexander Isak’s injury is as of yet. Early signs are not promising, given he tried to play on after the collision before sitting back down for treatment.

Isak is now a doubt for Newcastle’s midweek Premier League clash with Liverpool on Wednesday.

Callum Wilson was on the bench at Selhurst Park but is being eased back from an injury himself. Wilson played just over 20 minutes in the defeat by West Ham on Monday.

The latest Alexander Isak injury update will come as a bitter blow for Howe, should the striker be ruled out for one of the football calendar’s busiest periods.
