Myles Lewis-Skelly Reveals Hilarious Phone Call Blunder After He Mistook Uber Eats For England Boss Thomas Tuchel

Myles Lewis-Skelly hilariously jumped the gun when waiting to hear news of whether he would receive his first England call-up after mistaking an Uber Eats driver for Three Lions boss Thomas Tuchel.
The teenager was rewarded for his excellent Arsenal form by being included in Tuchel’s first England squad.
He is expected to receive his first cap in England’s World Cup qualifier against Albania on Friday night. The Three Lions will then host Latvia on Monday night.
His chances to make the squad had been boosted by injuries to the likes of Newcastle star Lewis Hall.
However, he faced a nervous wait to find out whether he had received his first England call-up.
The 18-year-old has lifted the lid on the moments before he was told he had made Tuchel’s first Three Lions squad.
Myles Lewis-Skelly Mistook Uber Driver For England Manager
Arsenal star Myles Lewis-Skelly has told the story of how he mistook an Uber Eats driver for England boss Thomas Tuchel while waiting to hear about his first call-up.
The teenager appeared in a video on England’s official YouTube channel alongside Arsenal teammate Declan Rice and Newcastle’s Dan Burn – who has also received his first Three Lions call-up.
He explained: “I was on the phone with my friend the day before the big announcement.
“Then I got a call from a number so I was like, ‘Oh bro, I’ve got to call you back. Let me take this call’.
“So I hung up with my friend and put on my good voice. I was getting ready and then the person that speaks says ‘we’ve got your food, it’s outside’. It’s Uber Eats for my mum.”
Lewis-Skelly revealed that he hadn’t spoke to Tuchel about his first England call-up before it was announced. Rice indicated that Lewis-Skelly would have been told by Arsenal before the announcement came out.
Should he play on Friday night, he would become England’s 11th youngest debutant.
Theo Walcott is the youngest player to make their England debut, with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Jude Bellingham and Michael Owen in the top 10.
