Michael Owen has offered Trent Alexander-Arnold advice on Real Madrid as he continues to be linked with a summer switch.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s Real Madrid Links Are Heating Up

football season.

As a result of his expiring deal, the Liverpool academy graduate has been linked with a move to Real Madrid. The fact close friend Jude Bellingham is at the Bernabeu will also be a tempting factor for the right-back.

Former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker Michael Owen has offered Alexander-Arnold the chance to discuss any potential move to the Spanish capital.

Michael Owen: Trent Alexander-Arnold Can Call Me For Advice

Owen believes the right-back should not be begrudged for considering a move to Real Madrid. And should Alexander-Arnold choose Real Madrid over staying at Anfield, then he can chat to the man who made the same move in 2004.

“The Trent situation is an interesting one…” Owen told the Telegraph. “Trent has done everything for Liverpool. He adores Liverpool but if he goes, no one should begrudge him a different experience in his life and career.

“Whatever happens he should be regarded as a hero. Sadly, it does affect the way people view you. It will tarnish him in some eyes even though it shouldn’t.

“Trent’s got my number. A few of the lads have owned horses at my stables, but we generally don’t talk football unless I am working. But I would be at the end of the phone for anyone who wanted to discuss it,” says Owen.

Liverpool’s Contract Crisis

Real Madrid target Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of three key Liverpool players out of contract next summer.

The 26-year-old, along with Mo Salah and Virgil Van Dijk, will be allowed to leave for nothing next summer should Liverpool be unable to offer new deals.

Salah made headlines on Monday after revealing he hasn’t been offered new to stay at the club.

Salah said: “We are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay in the club. I’m probably more out than in.

“You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this but in the end it is not in my hands. As I said, it is December and I haven’t received anything yet about my future.

“I love the fans and the fans love me. In the end it is not in my hands or the fans’ hands.”
