The latest Manchester United injury news has seen both Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount return to first-team training.

Mount was subbed off in the defeat against Brighton in August and has made a faster recovery than many had anticipated. The former Chelsea star ed the main group of players at Carrington on September 18.

Danish ace Hojlund has yet to feature at all for the Red Devils this season after injuring his hamstring in pre-season. However, the former Atalanta forward is primed for his first appearance in 2024/25.

Manchester United Injury News Ahead Of Crystal Palace Trip

After their 7-0 trouncing over Barnsley in the Carabao Cup, the latest Manchester United injury news has been handed a boost ahead of the visit to Crystal Palace.

The Premier League trip to Selhurst Park can potentially see the returns of Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount. However, the fixture will likely prove too soon for Luke Shaw.

Boss Erik ten Hag may give Hojlund and Mount some valuable minutes off the bench but Shaw is likely to miss out altogether.

A calf problem sustained before the start of the season has seen the England full-back undertake an extended period in the treatment room.

Nonetheless, the Red Devils have no new injury concerns. Long-term absentees Leny Yoro and Tyrell Malacia aren’t expected back this month.

The same can be said of Victor Lindelof. He suffered an injury in pre-season and his return date is still unknown. A comeback in October is a likely possibility.

Going into Saturday’s clash with the Eagles, United will be confident of making it three wins on the bounce. A 3-0 victory at Southampton on GW4 was followed up by the League Cup triumph.

Furthermore, Ten Hag will be out for revenge after last season’s 4-0 drubbing in south London. Ahead of the match, the best football betting sites in the UK make United 6/4 favourites.
