United Fans React To Marcus Rashford’s NBA Appearance

After not being called up to the England squad once again, Rashford has been enjoying some time away from the field in America, and was spotted at Madison Square Garden.

The 27-year-old was in attendance as the New York Knicks got the better of the Brooklyn Nets in a close 124-122 game.

While Rashford was enjoying some NBA action, England prepare to take on the Republic of Ireland on Sunday in what will be Lee Carsley’s last game in charge. Thomas Tuchel will take over the side in January, which could provide the United forward with a way back into the team. It is believed that the German is keen on bringing him back into international football.

Rashford was ed by good friend Ro-Shaun Williams, who now plays for Northern Irish side Larne. The pair know each other from their days in the United youth academy, and had the best seats in the house at MSG.

It’s a big few weeks for Rashford and he will be hoping to impress new Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim when he returns to Manchester after the international break. He will need to improve under his new coach though, after scoring just once so far this season.

United fans on social media have been quick to get onto Rashford’s case after he was spotted at the NBA game, with one fan saying: “He has to go, Marcus isn’t good enough anymore.

Another said: “I’d fire him, he should be working with and trying to impress our new manager.”

But there was also plenty of for him: “It’s sad that he gets targeted like this, especially by his own fans.
