Watch Manchester City Vs Manchester United highlights as Amad Diallo inspired a dramatic derby-day victory for United at the Etihad Stadium.

City took the lead through Josko Gvardiol’s header and looked to be holding on for victory.

But a frantic finish lit up an otherwise turgid fixture and turned the result on its head. Ruben Amorim was jubilant at full-time as his side earned a memorable win against their rivals.

Amorim raised eyebrows with his decision to drop Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho out of the match-day squad entirely.

The visitors were then dealt an early blow as Mason Mount limped off early on.

And with the minutes ticking down, it looked like City were the side taking a much-needed three points.

But as United threw bodies forward, Matheus Nunes clattered into Diallo in the City penalty area after giving the ball away to the young winger.

Bruno Fernandes converted from the spot to level it with two minutes to go.

Then, the unthinkable happened. Diallo latched onto a long ball and lifted it over Ederson in the City goal, before slotting home from a tight angle to take the lead with seconds remaining.

The result has not altered United’s league position – they remain 13th. But what it has done is completely change the mood at Old Trafford and ease pressure on their owners.

Defeats to Manchester City will certainly please fans.

For City, it was another night to forget as their awful run continues. It’s now an eighth defeat in 11 games and the champions find themselves fifth in the Premier League standings.

Leaders Liverpool are now nine points ahead with a game in hand, and any talk of a miraculous City title defence is rapidly evaporating.

Pep Guardiola has never felt pressure like this in his managerial career. But when it rains, it pours for City this season.
