As the Champions League returns in a brand new format this week, here are our Manchester City Vs Internazionale predicted lineups before Wednesday night’s game.

City maintained their perfect start to the Premier League campaign with a 2-1 victory over Brentford on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola’s team are now the only side to have won every league match so far, after Liverpool lost at home to Nottingham Forest.

The English champions will be hoping they continue that form into Europe, but know Inter will be no pushovers.

The visitors on Wednesday night won the Serie A title themselves last season, and are unbeaten in the league so far.

Inter drew 1-1 with Monza last time out, having also shared the points at Genoa in August. They have so far beaten Atalanta and Lecce to make it two wins and two draws to date.

Sitting second in the table with eight points, only Napoli have made a better start in the Italian top flight.

City and Inter last met in the final of the Champions League back in 2023, with City winning 1-0 to lift the trophy in Istanbul.

Manchester City Team News

City are not thought to be carrying any fresh injuries after the weekend’s victory over Brentford.

Star forward Erling Haaland played against the Bees despite being afforded comionate leave following the death of a family friend, and is expected to start on Wednesday night.

The duo of Nathan Ake and Oscar Bobb remain sidelined as the only absentees in an otherwise full-strength City squad.

Internazionale Team News

Inter meanwhile were boosted by the return of some key men against Monza at the weekend.

Davide Fratessi and Stefan De Vrij are back in contention, though it may be too soon for either to start.

Nicolo Barella was also on the bench so could return to the starting lineup for the trip to Manchester.

Canadian international Tajon Buchanan remains unavailable following a fractured tibia he suffered in July.
