Luke Humphries Beats Luke Littler to Win 2025 Premier League Darts

After suffering an agonising defeat to Luke Littler in the 2024 Premier League Darts final, Luke Humphries finally had his revenge on May 29. However, in the opening phase of the 2025 final, Littler was firmly in the driving seat.

The 18-year-old enjoyed a blistering start at the O2 Arena and went 3-0 up, putting pressure on the world’s best. Humphries, however, did not cave and bounced back strongly, levelling the score at 3-3. Both players made more than their fair share of mistakes in the first half, only getting back to their best after the break.

The 30-year-old jetted ahead with an 11-dart break, followed by a 12-dart hold to move two legs clear. Another stellar 11-darter put Humphries 8-6 up, but Littler did not let go without a fight. Humphries dropped down to double two before going 10-8 ahead and ultimately breaking once more. He finished on double 10 to take the win at his countryman’s expense and complete the PDC Triple Crown.

After winning the long-awaited title, Humphries told Sky Sports:

That one means the world to me. It’s the one I was missing.

I said in all my pre-match build-up the last few days that it was the one I wanted. I’ve done it now. If I don’t win another title, I will be happy, because I’ve won the three hardest ones now.
