As the former UFC Welterweight Champion and one of the best fighters in the sport of MMA right now, here at SportsCasting we have taken a deep dive into the personal life of ‘Rocky’. This includes who Leon Edwards girlfriend is and whether or not he is a father.

Who Is Leon Edwards’ Girlfriend?

Leon Edwards’ relationship status is currently unclear and the 33-year-old likes to keep his private life private. We do not know if ‘Rocky’ has a wife, girlfriend or partner.

It is evident that Edwards is far more concerned about his career as a UFC fighter and is far more interested in returning to the top of the 170-pound division, rather than focusing on his personal life and a potential relationship with a female.

Edwards is still very much at his peak right now, and remains in the UFC Welterweight Title picture despite losing the belt in 2025. In 2025, he will aim to win his title back. Given that he eats, sleeps and breaths MMA, it seems Leon Edwards is not one bit concerned about finding a partner outside of the octagon.

Of course, a time will come when the Englishman wants to focus on his personal life. However, for now, it is evident that Leon Edwards is more focused about his UFC career.

It is worth noting that Leon Edwards’ girlfriend, wife or partner information is totally based off online sources. Various sources have written that ‘Rocky’ is not in a relationship, but this has neither been confirmed nor denied by the 33-year-old himself.

For all we know, Edwards could be in a loving relationship and have a long-term partner. Until the former UFC welterweight king comes out and confirms he has a partner, all we can do is speculate.

Does Leon Edwards Have Any Children?

Yes, Leon Edwards has one son named Jayon who is believed to be seven-years-old and born between 2016-2017.

The identity of Jayon’s mother is unknown and Edwards prefers to keep it that way, offering privacy to someone who likely doesn’t wish to be in the public eye.

The father, who grew up in Aston, Birmingham, has promised to give Jayon the safe, comfortable and healthy childhood that he didn’t have.

It is great to see that Leon Edwards is not only winning inside the octagon, but that he has a healthy personal life outside of the cage too.

Who Is Leon Edwards’ Dad?

Edwards lived with his parents and brother in a one-room house and was surrounded by crime and gang activity growing up.

After being born in Kingston, Jamaica, Edwards and his family moved to England at the age of nine. ‘Rocky’ itted that it was tough growing up in an environment where violence and crime was extremely normal:

“As a kid growing up in Jamaica, all you see is crime, drugs, killing, shooting, poverty. Day in and day out. Killing became normal to me as a kid. Hearing gunshots was normal; it did not faze me.”

Leon Edwards’ dad was heavily involved in criminal activities and earned the nickname ‘The General’, whilst his mother had to work multiple jobs to keep the family above water.

Leon, aged 13, dealt with the trauma of his father being murdered, shot in a nightclub over a feud regarding money.

“It was probably like 2am,” Edwards recalled. “I was in my room. Mum was in her room. We hear the phone ringing. I heard her crying, and I knew from then something bad, you know.

“Eventually, she came into my room and just told me this, your dad’s just got killed in London.”

Leon Edwards’ Wider Family

Although very little is known about a significant other and the mother of his only child Jayon, some of the other of the Edwards family are fairly well-known.

Leon has a brother called Fabian, who like him is a successful MMA fighter. Fabian Edwards competes in Bellator and is yet to be signed by UFC President Dana White. It is unlikely Fabian signs for the UFC unless he he becomes a champion in Bellator and then gets picked up by the UFC.

It is clear that Leon Edwards’ successful career inside the octagon has massively helped his family. He remains one of the best welterweight fighters in the world and still has plenty of big nights left in him between now and the time he retires.

Be sure to claim the various UFC Leon Edwards’ next fight.
