Here’s our Leicester City vs Nottingham Forest preview, prediction, latest team news and predicted lineups ahead of Friday night’s East Midlands Derby in the Premier League.

Leicester City Vs Nottingham Forest Preview

Leicester City

The Foxes have won their last two Premier League games, having failed to win any of their opening six.

They overcame Bournemouth 1-0 before the international break, then came from 2-0 down to win a thriller at struggling Southampton.

Jordan Ayew’s 98th-minute winner was Leicester’s latest-ever Premier League goal. Leicester are one of only three teams to score in every league game so far this season, alongside Arsenal and Manchester City.

But they will need to be on top form to take all three points when rivals Nottingham Forest come to town on Friday.

Leicester City Vs Nottingham Forest Team News

Foxes boss Steve Cooper has a relatively healthy squad to select from this week. Harry Winks and Oliver Skipp will compete for a place alongside Wilfred Ndidi in midfield, with Abdul Fatawu eyeing a potential start out wide.

Jamie Vardy will of course continue up front while Patson Daka and Hamza Choudhury remain unavailable.

Forest meanwhile are still without Ibrahim Sangare and Danilo, but do have double-barrelled duo Morgan Gibbs-White and James Ward-Prowse back from suspension.

Chris Wood is expected to keep his place up top, while Elliot Anderson could start again if Gibbs-White fails a late fitness test.

Leicester City Vs Nottingham Forest Predicted Lineups

Leicester City (4-2-3-1): Hermansen; Justin, Okoli, Faes, Kristiansen; Ndidi, Winks; Fatawu, Buonanotte, Ayew; Vardy

Nottingham Forest (4-2-3-1): Sels; Aina, Murillo, Milenkovic, Moreno; Yates, Ward-Prowse; Hudson-Odoi, Anderson, Elanga; Wood

Leicester City Vs Nottingham Forest Prediction

This derby is often a high-scoring affair. The past four Premier League meetings at the King Power have seen at least four goals.

Forest have shown they are tough to score against, though, but Friday night games are often full of excitement.

Form often goes out the window in games like this, and we can see the rapidly-improving Foxes having enough to beat Forest at home.

Prediction: Leicester City 2-1 Nottingham Forest
