Watch the highlights from Leicester vs Chelsea in the Premier League as Enzo Maresca’s side hold off a late comeback from the Foxes to win 2-1.

Premier League title race.

The visitors were dominant in of both possession and territory for most of the match, with strikes from Nicolas Jackson and Enzo Fernandez gaining them a lead that was unassailable in the end.

Following a dominant first-half display, Chelsea led 1-0 at the break, but perhaps walked down the tunnel with a tint of regret having not capitalised further on their supremacy.

The Blues had 70% of the ball and had generated an xG of 0.78 in the opening 45 – compared to the hosts’ 0.27 xG. However, they only had Jackson’s superbly taken finish to show for their efforts going into the second half.

Leicester were too ive for the first half hour but came out of their shell, with James McAteer coming close to producing an equaliser.

At 2-0 down, the Foxes found a late goal from the penalty spot when Jordan Ayew stepped up and converted from 12 yards.

However, it was too little, too late for Steve Cooper’s side, who drop down a place to 16th, for now, with 10 points in 12 games.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are now close to within a point of Tottenham in Saturday’s late kick-off.
