us as we examine the Katie Taylor record in boxing, and how her resumé compares to that of other great female fighters. It could be argued that Katie Taylor’s fight record is the best we have ever seen in all of women’s boxing history.

Katie Taylor Record

Katie Taylor is arguably the greatest female fighter to ever lace up a pair of boxing gloves. Period. End of conversation.

Up to now in her professional career, Katie Taylor has barely put a foot wrong. In her 25 professional fights to date, the fighting pride of Ireland has had her hand raised on all but one occasion. Not only that, but Taylor is already a two-weight undisputed world champion as well.

Of these 24 victories, the undisputed lightweight queen has finished six of her opponents inside the scheduled distance. The sole defeat on her record was to Chantelle Cameron, a loss she avenged six months later in their rematch, despite being written off by the best boxing betting sites in the UK as the underdog.

Katie Taylor made her professional debut back in November 2016, winning her first six fights as a pro before getting a vacant world title shot in just her seventh fight. ‘KT’ won the WBA World Lightweight Title at the first attempt, comprehensively outboxing Anahi Ester Sanchez for ten rounds, winning a wide unanimous decision.

Taylor had become world champion in jut her seventh fight – quite an amazing achievement. Little did we know that this was only the beginning for the Eddie Hearn/Matchroom Boxing signed female boxing superstar.

After one defence of her WBA strap against Jessica McCaskill next, the 1986-born Irish boxing phenom then fought in a unification bout in just her nineth fight. Taylor won via wide unanimous decision against Victoria Noelia Bustos, adding a second belt to her name in the process.

Taylor then defended her two belts on three occasions before adding a third belt when she knocked out Rose Volante in March 2019. Then came the undisputed fight. Katie Taylor narrowly defeated Belgium’s Delfine Persoon to become the undisputed lightweight champion at a sold-out Madison Square Garden on the Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz Jr undercard.

Next was one fight up at super-lightweight, defeating Christina Linardatou to become a two-weight world champion. She then moved back down to 135-pounds for a undisputed rematch clash once again with Persoon. This time, Taylor won a bit more handily to put an end to their rivalry.

Then came another four defences of her undisputed 135-pound belts, defeating Miriam Guttierez, Britain’s Natasha Jonas, Jennifer Han and Firuza Sharipova before her epic war with Amanda Serrano. Taylor won the fight with Serrano via split decision at MSG in what is one of the best fights in recent boxing memory.

This was of course the first fight with Chantelle Cameron – the sole defeat on Katie Taylor’s boxing record. The 38-year-old went into the bout as the slight favourite with the best UK betting sites, but came unstuck for the first time in her boxing career. ‘KT’ was defeated via majority decision in her homecoming fight in Ireland.

However, Taylor didn’t let that loss define her, overcoming the loss by defeating Chantelle Cameron in their epic rematch contest. Taylor won the fight via majority decision, in what was a fight for the ages and one that will go down in boxing folklore.

Last time out, Katie Taylor then cemented her legacy even further by defeated Amanda Serrano in their highly anticipated rematch on the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson undercard. ‘KT’ won via unanimous decision, putting to bed her rivalry with Serrano by beating her for a second time. Quite remarkable.

That takes us up to now in the career of Katie Taylor. Katie Taylor is the single greatest female fighter of all time, of that there is no doubt.
