Queens Park Rangers loanee Karamoko Dembele is the EFL Championship’s highest-rated player so far this season.
That’s according to the Second Tier Podcast, who used stats and figures provided by WhoScored. Dembele only ed the west Londoners on August 13 and has produced a number of stunning displays.

Amazingly, Dembele tops the pile having featured in just three league games and is yet to get on the scoresheet. However, he has provided two assists.
Making his first QPR start against Sheffield United on the second weekend of the season, Dembele provided his first assist from a corner.
In the following match against Plymouth at Loftus Road, Dembele left the home fans in awe of his talents. Again, he provided an assist from a corner which saw Michael Frey open the scoring.
Impressively, Dembele created nine chances against Wayne Rooney‘s side. That was the most by a QPR player in the league since Luke Freeman in 2017.

WhoScored Ratings See Karamoko Dembele Take 1st Place
Karamoko Dembele ed a WhoScored rating of 7.68 from his three EFL Championship league appearances for Marti Cifuentes’ side.
That was enough to beat Middlesbrough defender Matt Clarke to top spot. The 27-year-old was given a rating of 7.63. The final podium position went to Dennis Cirkin of Sunderland.
The Black Cats are the only side to have won all of their league games so far this season. Cirkin was scored at 7.61. Just behind him tied in fourth is Sheffield Utd’s Oli Arblaster and West Brom’s Josh Maja. Both ed 7.60.
However, Dembele’s stunning introduction to the 2024/25 Championship season has seen him quickly become a fans favourite in W12.
Whilst on loan at Blackpool last season, Dembele won the club’s ‘Junior Seasiders Player of the Season,’ ‘Players’ Player of the Season’ and the ‘ers’ Player of the Season.’
