Ahead of the Joe Joyce vs Filip Hrgovic this Saturday night, boxing fans want to know if there are any heavyweight belts on the line for this blockbuster clash.

Read on to find out everything you need to know about the Joyce vs Hrgovic bout, including what heavyweight belts are on the line.

What Belts Are On The Line In The Joe Joyce vs Filip Hrgovic Fight?

Heavy Impact takes centre-stage in Manchester, England this weekend. A compelling heavyweight fight between Joe Joyce and Filip Hrgovic headlines this blockbuster boxing bill at the Co-Op Live Arena.

Both Joyce and Hrgovic are extremely well-known fighters, with both coming close to earning world title shots in the past. That can still happen for the winner of this fight, with the loser facing a long road back to world title contention in the heavyweight division.

Saturday night marks Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions’ first card live exclusively on DAZN. Queensberry had previously been with TNT Sports (formerly BT Sport) for years prior to teaming up with DAZN from Saturday night onwards.

This means that the two biggest British boxing promoters, Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn, are both now on DAZN. Joyce vs Hrgovic is Queensberry’s first DAZN headlined show, but there are in fact no belts on the line in the main event.

That’s right, despite being top of the bill, the Joe Joyce vs Filip Hrgovic fight is being contested for no heavyweight belts whatsoever.

There is a British Heavyweight Title fight in the co-main event between David Adeleye and Jeamie TKV, but not for the Joyce vs Hrgovic main event.

No Heavyweight Title Belts Up For Grabs In Joyce vs Hrgovic Bout

The winner of Saturday’s fight between Filip Hrgovic and Joe Joyce may leave the ring victorious, but they won’t have any form of meaningful heavyweight belt wrapped around their waist.

‘The Juggernaut’ was previously the WBO Interim World Heavyweight Title holder, but lost that belt to Zhilei Zhang in 2023. He also formerly held the British, Commonwealth and European Heavyweight Titles.

‘El Animal’ fought for the IBF Interim World Heavyweight Title in his last fight, but was beaten by Daniel Dubois. Both men are coming into this fight off the back of a defeat so it comes as no surprise to learn that no belts are on the line for Joyce vs Hrgovic on Saturday night.

Going into the Joyce vs Hrgovic heavyweight dust-up, the best UK boxing betting sites have listed the Croatian as the favourite. Joyce is a fairly substantial underdog here, with a loss perhaps spelling the end of his career.

Do not blink during this Joe Joyce vs Filip Hrgovic clash at the Co-Op Live Arena!
