The future of Joshua Zirkzee at Manchester United appears uncertain after manager Ruben Amorim itted the summer g could leave the club this month.

Joshua Zirkzee Future: Amorim Hints Dutch Forward Could Leave

Ruben Amorim spoke about the future of Joshua Zirkzee after Manchester United’s valiant 2-2 draw with Liverpool.

United fans were heard singing Zirkzee’s name at Anfield, with the Dutchman coming on for the final four minutes. This was a contrast to when he was jeered off by home fans just 33 minutes into their 2-0 loss against Newcastle at Old Trafford.

Zirkzee came agonisingly close to providing the assist for what could have been the winner from Harry Maguire.

Amorim has stressed that there are no guarantees over the future of Zirkzee at Old Trafford.

“I want to keep Josh because he gives everything,” Amorim said. “He’s trying in training but we don’t know, the window is open.

“We will see what happens. We just need to focus on training and to take this for the next game. So it’s just one point. Let’s focus on the performance, take this to the next game.”

Bruno Fernandes meanwhile came to Zirkzee’s defence after the game. He said: “I really get frustrated for what happened to Josh. I was in the stands (against Newcastle) and I’ve never seen something like this.

“And it really frustrates me and annoys me because he’s a player that always gives it his all. Always tries as a player that is coming into the team.”

Zirkzee’s Difficult Start At Old Trafford

The uncertain future of Joshua Zirkzee at Old Trafford comes after a difficult start to life at Manchester United.

There were high hopes when he netted in United’s league opener against Fulham. But he has only had two goals in the 19 Premier League games since.

Zirkzee has been the subject of reports linking him with a return to Serie A just six months after he left Bologna.

Juventus and Napoli are reportedly ready to fight for the Manchester United striker’s services.

Cristiano Giuntoli, sporting director of Juventus, refused to rule out a move for the United forward as he stated the club will keep an eye out for ‘interesting opportunities’.
