Jon Rahm Reveals Issues In Preparation For 2025 Masters
To many, finishing in T6 is a respectable performance however for Spanish golf star, Jon Rahm, this is a considerable drop off for a player of his quality.
Recently, Rahm competed in Hong Kong and despite going 12.5 under par, the Spaniard failed to finish in the top five of the competition.
This highlighted how Rahm is failing to perform at the level he has shown throughout his career and the 30-year-old revealed the issues he has faced when trying to return to his best level.
He said: “I haven’t played my best. I haven’t felt as comfortable as I would like, and it’s showed in my wedge game, especially last week.”
“If you want to contend and win and especially win majors, you need that part of your game.”
This realisation comes at an important time for Rahm, as he is hoping to improve his performance before the 2025 Masters in April.
Improvement will need to occur quickly, as his fellow golf stars are all performing at an impressive level – with last year’s champion Scottie Scheffler an ARG mark of +1.97 (Proximity to Hole).
It’s not just PGA Tour that will be threatening Rahm at the Masters, as a host of LIV Golf stars are also competing at the iconic Augusta National.
Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, and Sergio Garcia are all set to compete for the illustrious green jacket.
Joaquin Niemann is also set to feature and go for victory after an impressive campaign under the LIV Golf umbrella in 2024.
Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are two of favourites to win the Masters on UK betting sites, with Rahm just behind in third.
