Watch the highlights from Saturday’s FA Cup action, where Manchester City thrashed neighbours Salford 8-0.

Manchester City romped past Salford City with an emphatic 8-0 victory to seal their place in the hat for the FA Cup fourth-round draw.

The hosts’ clinical nature was evident from the start, as Jeremy Doku opened the scoring in the eighth minute by firing off the inside of the right post.

Goal number two arrived in the 20th minute, when Matheus Nunes squared the ball for Divin Mubama to tap home for a debut goal, before the third came two minutes from the interval with Nico O’Reilly’s first senior strike.

The second 45 minutes saw the ruthless Citizens continue on as Jack Grealish tucked away a cool spot-kick after being brough down by Ossama Ashley.

Just after the hour mark, James McAtee began a fine offensive conquest as he latched onto a Doku cross from the right and scored his first of the evening.

Doku, who was having a fine outing of his own, then grabbed his second from 12 yards after Curtis Tilt was penalised for handball.

As the visitors tired, McAtee added another two goals for his hat-trick to lower the curtain on an FA Cup dismantling.

WATCH: Manchester City 8-0 Salford Highlights

After an underwhelming start to their season, Manchester City have started 2025 on fire, scoring 12 goals in two games.

Pep Guardiola will be hoping they can build on their recent form and get back into the title picture. Next up for City is a tricky away fixture to Brentford on Tuesday before a weekend trip to Ipswich.

The hosts exceeded their 4.87 xG heavily, while an ever-determined Salford struggled to make a dent in the onslaught, generating 0.99 xG.
