Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai Named Among Holly Shand’s Best FPL Differentials Ahead Of Gameweek 28

Holly Shand returns with another round of FPL tips on SportsCasting – this week centred around the best differentials for Gameweek 28.
While most fantasy managers are planning ahead for Blank Gameweek 28, it’s important not to overlook the gameweek prior to that, with some differential options at home and facing one of the current bottom three this weekend.
So who are the best low-owned FPL picks?
FPL Gameweek 28 Tips: Best Differentials
Dominik Szoboszlai vs Southampton (H)
Liverpool have their best fixture of the season this weekend as they host bottom of the league Southampton and for those heading into Blank Gameweek 29 on Free Hit, the smart play is to ensure a triple up on their assets this weekend.
Midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai arrives at this fixture in a rich vein of form, with double digit hauls in consecutive games. He notched a goal and an assist in the 2-0 win against Manchester City before getting on the scoresheet in the 2-0 victory against Newcastle United.
He has the pedigree in this fixture too, scoring the opening goal in the 3-2 victory at St. Mary’s back in November. He’s notched an impressive 14 shots on goal over the last four gameweeks, ranking him third among midfielders in this metric.
Eberechi Eze vs Ipswich Town (H)
Crystal Palace are another side being overlooked for investment right now due to a postponed fixture in Gameweek 29, but you shouldn’t overlook Oliver Glasner’s side on current form. They have won three of their last four games, scoring nine goals in this period.
Eberechi Eze is back in the side and building fitness after some injury concerns, with one goal involvement from his last two starts. His team mate Jean-Philippe Mateta is expected to miss this fixture after suffering a head injury in the FA Cup last weekend.
Crystal Palace were the 1-0 victors in the reverse of this fixture against Ipswich Town, with Eze getting the assist on that occasion. Ipswich are without a clean sheet in 2025, conceding ten goals across the last four gameweeks alone.
Christopher Nkunku vs Leicester City (H)
Chelsea’s favourable run of fixtures continues as they host Leicester City this weekend, having just beaten Southampton 4-0 last time out. While Chelsea’s form has been patchy in 2025, they are unbeaten at home, winning three in a row at Stamford Bridge.
That form bodes well for the visit of the Foxes, having scored 11 goals in their last four at home. Leicester City are without a clean sheet on the road this season, conceding 12 goals in their last four league games. Chelsea were the 2-1 victors in the reverse fixture.
In the absence of Nicolas Jackson, it’s Christopher Nkunku who has been leading the line, playing out of position having been classified as a midfielder in the game. He was the star man last time out, chalking up a goal and an assist against Southampton for 12 fantasy points.
