Low-Owned Liverpool Midfielder Named Among Holly Shand’s Best FPL Differentials For Double Gameweek 24

Holly Shand returns with another round of FPL tips on SportsCasting – this week centred around the best differentials in each position ahead of Double Gameweek 24.
As we finally arrive at Double Gameweek 24, there’s no room for the ever-present Cody Gakpo in this differentials column, since his 16-point haul last time out against Ipswich Town has seen his ownership exceed 10%.
So who are the best low-owned FPL picks in each position?
FPL Gameweek 24 Tips: Best Differential In Each Position
Defender: Nikola Milenkovic vs Brighton (H)
While it’s easy to be blinded by the sides with two fixtures, it’s sensible to weigh up transfers that have more longevity in the long term. Nottingham Forest remain a significant defence to invest in, with a leading nine clean sheets this season and just 36 big chances conceded on their goal.
Full-back Ola Aina (£5.4m) is the most popular pick from their defence as the highest-scoring defender in the game, but centre-back Nikola Milenkovic remains an intriguing differential alternative and significantly, he’s £0.6 million cheaper than Aina, which is a crucial saving.
Milenkovic provides a key aerial threat from set pieces, scoring twice this season from five big chances on goal. He ranks third among defenders for shots in the box, with 20. Forest are unbeaten in their last five home games, keeping two clean sheets in this time.
Midfielder: Dominik Szoboszlai vs Bournemouth (A), Everton (A)
For managers looking for a cheap route into Liverpool’s attack, Dominik Szobozlai (£6.3m) is the best option to consider here as he continues to thrive in an advanced central role. He’s started their last three league games, with a goal and an assist in this time.
This takes Szoboszlai up to nine goal involvements for the season with three goals and six assists in 15 starts. He ranks top for shots (14) among all players in the last three gameweeks but remains under the radar in just 2.2% of teams.
Significantly, Szoboszlai didn’t travel to the Netherlands for Liverpool’s final Champions League group stage game against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday, which bodes well for his minutes and inclusion across this double gameweek.
Forward: Iliman Ndiaye vs Leicester City (H), Liverpool (H)
Everton striker Iliman Ndiaye is among the most bought players ahead of the double gameweek, and it’s easy to see why, with goals in consecutive games. He’s been a consistent starter this season, scoring five goals and his minutes will be secure with Dominic Calvert-Lewin an injury doubt.
The first of Everton’s double gameweek fixtures is particularly attractive, at home to Leicester City, who haven’t kept a clean sheet on the road this season. In addition, we can expect fireworks in the game against Liverpool, which is the final Merseyside Derby to be played at Goodison Park.
Everton have been much improved since the appointment of David Moyes, with two wins in three games, scoring four goals and keeping one clean sheet. Ndiaye has been involved in half of those goals for his side, making him the ideal third forward as a differential alongside template picks Isak and Wood.
