The transfer market is currently dominated by movement for forwards, with blanks for popular picks Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.8m) and Omar Marmoush (£7.7m), plus suspension for Joao Pedro (£5.6m). So who are Holly Shand’s the best FPL forwards to replace your current strikers with?

Best FPL Forwards Ahead Of Gameweek 34, With Holly Shand

Alexander Isak vs Ipswich Town (H) (£9.5m)

Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak saw his ownership decline last time out, for the first time since the international break, as managers looked to sell the Magpies striker who has scored 21 goals this season in favour of players with two fixtures.

Despite this, I’d encourage non-owners to jump straight back on board for the visit of Ipswich Town to St. James’ Park. Newcastle United were the 4-0 victors in the reverse of this fixture, with Alexander Isak bagging a hat-trick on that occasion.

He has two goals and five assists in four appearances since the international break, having had a leading six big chances on goal in this time. He is an easy hold for the remaining five gameweeks of the season, with three home games in this time.

Matheus Cunha vs Leicester City (H) (£6.9m)

Wolves also have an attractive fixture in Blank Gameweek 34 as they host Leicester City, who were relegated by Liverpool last weekend.

The Foxes haven’t kept a clean sheet on the road this season, conceding eight goals in their last four games.

We saw Matheus Cunha win back his starting berth against Manchester United following a second spell of suspension this season.

He has netted a goal and an assist in two appearances since the international break.

That takes him to 19 goal involvements in 25 starts this season, with his side now on a five game winning streak as they charge up the table. Cunha scored a goal in the reverse fixture against Leicester, which ended in a 3-0 win.

Yoane Wissa vs Nottingham Forest (A) (£6.5m)

Brentford are another team in form, with one win and two draws in four games since the international break, picking up points against Chelsea, Arsenal and Brighton who all sit above them in the Premier League table.

Yoane Wissa has two goals and two assists in this time. A trip to Nottingham Forest appears tough on paper, but their focus will be on their FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City on Sunday ahead of this midweek fixture, which could play into the Bees hands.

For this reason, I’d target Wissa over Chris Wood in this fixture. Chris Wood has 22 goal involvements for the season, including 19 goals. Wissa isn’t far behind, with 15 goals himself and a total of 20 goal involvements for the campaign.

Brentford have attractive fixtures to end the season, including against  three teams below them in the table.
