FPL Pras returns for one last time ahead of Gameweek 38, presenting straightforward and bold picks to help you end your Fantasy Premier League campaign on a high.

I’m Pras, and welcome to my weekly series for SportsCasting, where I will be providing my thoughts on my FPL tips. For context, over the last 12 seasons of FPL, I have achieved four top 10k finishes, including two top 5k finishes. My seasonal average over the last seven seasons is around 21k. I am currently ranked 2.5k.

Final gameweek is here, and like all weeks, I am here to give you one sensible and one maverick pick per position.

FPL Pras’ Gameweek 35 Tips

Defender

Sensible: Milos Kerkez (£5.2m)

Milos Kerkez Has Been Brilliant This Season

Kerkez is possibly the most appealing defensive option this week. He has created at least one chance in nine of his last 11 outings. The left-back is t-top among Bournemouth players for chances created over the last six Gameweeks.

They are at home to a Leicester City side who, while improving of late, have still lost five of their last seven away matches to nil. Jamie Vardy has said his goodbyes and thus won’t be wiping out any clean sheets, either.

Maverick: Ben White (£6.1m)

In Timber’s absence, Ben White should start at right back. White has looked dangerous in the last two Gameweeks, not being too far away with shots against Liverpool and Newcastle United.

He plays a Southampton team who have scored just two goals in the last six matches.

Midfielder

Sensible: Jarrod Bowen (£7.9m)

Gameweek 38 FPL Tips: Jarrod Bowen Is a Safe Pick For the Final Week

Jarrod Bowen has 44 points in his last five matches, thanks to four goals and two assists. He is the man in form, and he now takes on a very open Ipswich team who will want to put on a show for their fans to cap off their Premier League stint.

Bowen has the highest goal involvement % of all players in the league – there is no one more talismanic than him this season.

Maverick: Antony Gordon (£7.4m)

Despite only showing flashes of form recently, the opportunity for Antony Gordon is certainly clear to see. James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite are out for Everton – a team that bid an emotional goodbye to the Goodison last week and will bring little to no motivation into the final gameweek. With Trippier and Isak doubtful, Gordon could well take most set pieces and penalties. Newcastle have to win to secure a Champions League place too, so all the ingredients are in place for a Gordon final day haul.

Forward

Sensible: Evanilson (£5.8m)

On paper, Evanilson has the best fixture this week. His 5 goals and an assist since return from injury in GW28 have had him see a good chunk of the Bournemouth goal share. If Isak is ruled out, I can see a very strong rush to buy the Brazilian ahead of the GW38 deadline.

Maverick: Danny Welbeck (£5.5m)

Gameweek 38 FPL Tips: Pras Backs Welbeck Call

With a potential European hangover for Spurs, Brighton and Hove Albion attackers could easily haul. Indeed, over the last six Gameweeks, Spurs are both among the worst four teams for big chances conceded. With Joao Pedro seemingly out of favour, Danny Welbeck should not only lead the line but also take penalties.
