The 2024/25 Premier League season has officially drawn to a close, which means a new FPL champion has been crowned. Read on as we at SportsCasting unveil the top 10 highest-ranked managers.

Lovro Budisin has officially been crowned the 2024/25 Fantasy Premier League champion, finishing top of the FPL overall leaderboard by 23 points. Jack Brennan finished as runner-up, while Blythe Oakman claimed third place.

Budisin, who led at the top of the table from Gameweek 31 onwards, had never previously finished inside the top 500,000 in FPL and boasted a 40 point advantage heading into the final round of fixtures on Sunday.

He even opted to take a -4 hit ahead of the matches – transferring in Evanilson and Bukayo Saka for Jean-Philippe Mateta and Kevin De Bruyne – moves that didn’t pay off but ultimately made no difference.

“I’m still not fully aware of what I’ve achieved — my emotions are all over the place, and I have no words to describe this success,” Budisin told the Fantasy Premier League website following his triumph.

“I’m proud to be able to represent a sports-loving nation, my beloved Croatia. I was born here and I’m incredibly happy that I can contribute to Croatia’s success in any way.

“Even when I entered the top 10, I still didn’t believe I was truly in the race. It wasn’t until I managed to jump into the top two that I started to think there might be a real chance.”

The Croat replaces last year’s winner Jonas Sand Labakk as the new FPL champion.

Who Won The 2024/25 FPL Cup?

Finnish manager Aleksi Koskelo and his Lapaset team won this year’s FPL Cup, narrowly defeating Swedish opponent Sebastian Pineda’s Bennys Redeem Team by a mere two-point margin in the final.

Koskelo’s decision to transfer in Antoine Semenyo proved to be the vital move, as the Bournemouth star netted twice and picked up the maximum three bonus points to 16 points in the final gameweek.

Pineda, meanwhile, came incredibly close to winning, as had he not opted to take a -4 point hit to swap out Jean-Philippe Mateta for Danny Welbeck, he would’ve been crowned the 2024/25 FPL Cup champion.

The pair shared a total of six players, with both managers handing Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, who scored in the champions’ 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace, the captain’s armband for the final gameweek of the campaign.
