With the 2024/25 Fantasy Premier League season in the rearview mirror, Az from FPL Blackbox looks back at the standout performers of the campaign and speculates how much they would cost in 2025/26.

Hope you all had a good end to the season and achieved your goals. It was disappointment in the end for me, but that’s how it goes sometimes. All we can do now is look ahead to the 25/26 season!
I thought I’d take this opportunity to take a look at a couple of players, review their FPL seasons and have a guess as to what I think they will be priced at next season. Let’s get to it!

From Haaland to Palmer – Az Guesses Prices of FPL Heroes for 2025/26

Erling Haaland

Erling Haaland Could See a Downgrade in FPL 2025/26 Season

Ten goals in his first five games, and we all thought Haaland was going to go on and break every record in PL history. What transpired was just 12 more goals in 32 Gameweeks, as City limped over the line for Champions League qualification.

Haaland came in as the most expensive player we’ve ever seen in FPL, at a price of £15m. Some weren’t convinced he could live up to this price tag and opted to start without him, but changed their mind by Gameweek 6. Over 2 million managers opted to correct their “mistake”, only to see him score just 2 goals in his next 9 starts.

Haaland’s price surely drops next season, potentially to a price more in line with 23/24. I’m guessing he will come in at £14m again for the new season.

Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah Could Be One of the Highest-Valued Players in FPL 2025/26 Season

Arguably the greatest player to ever grace our FPL teams, Salah hit 29 goals and ed 18 assists for his best ever season in the PL. It was at a time when many of us (myself included) thought we might start seeing a decline in the Egyptian’s output. Clearly, Liverpool FC thought the same, only tying him down to a new contract at the tail end of the season.

Fourteen double-digit hauls this season, including a memorable 21-pointer against Spurs in Gameweek 17, saw him finish 108 points ahead of the next highest scoring player in the game (Mbeumo). It’s the second time Salah has hit over 300 points (the other time coming in his first season at Liverpool in 17/18). He has achieved over 200 points in every season he’s played for Liverpool. That’s 7 seasons in a row… Frightening.

Salah was £12.5m going into the season and looks set for a price hike. I imagine he will be the same price as Haaland, so I’m saying he will be £14m next season.

Bryan Mbeumo

Bryan Mbeumo Could See a Price Increase in 2025/26 FPL Season

Twenty goals scored, nine assists, and 236 points for Mbeumo highlight a quite incredible year for the Brentford man. Injuries cut into what could have been a brilliant season for him last season, but this was not the case this season as he started every one of Brentford’s 38 games as they finished in 9th position.

A big money move surely looks on the cards for Mbeumo. Newcastle or Manchester United look the most likely destination for the Cameroon international. It’s important to , though, that 11 of Mbeumo’s goals were penalties this season, and at either of those clubs, I’d be very surprised if he took them on (providing Isak and Fernandes both stay at their respective clubs).

A sizeable price rise looks inevitable for Mbeumo, wherever he ends up, given his points tally this season. He started the season at £7m, I wouldn’t be surprised if he came in at £9m, but I’ll make a more conservative guess of him starting at £8.5m.

Cole Palmer

Az: Chelsea Ace Cole Palmer Could Be Priced at £10m in FPL 2025/26 Season

Palmer started the season well with a 17 pointer against Wolves in Gameweek 2 being eclipsed by a massive 25 pointer against Brighton in Gameweek 6. 6 goals and 4 assists in those 6 weeks made him a contender for being the highest points scoring player in the game at the end of the season, but a drop in form from Gameweek 22 saw him manage just 3 assists and one goal before the season ended. A quite incredible fall from grace for the Chelsea man.

A man-of-the-match performance in the Conference League final reminded us of what he’s capable of, and he’ll be keen to silence any critics with a more consistent set of performances next year.
I wouldn’t expect Palmer’s price to change too much next season, given that he still managed over 200 points, but a small drop is a possibility. I’m going to say he comes in at £10m.
